True story

A friend of a friend's mother was Terry (Monty Python) Jones's cleaner. She had two boys called Genghis and Adolf.

I kid you not.

Terry had the family round one afternoon and made the boys some food. My pal says his abiding memory is of Terry standing on the back door step shouting "Genghis! Adolf! Pizza."

I can't tell you their surname because I think they still live around here but that was daft as well

The Leader of the Opposition in Australia, back in the days when Bob Hawke was PM, was called Andrew Peacock. Fortunately for him, no one spotted that joke at the time.

3 brothers called Sir Ricky, sir Ryan and sir Reece.

Queen Ann

Boy called OJ (orange juice) and his brother called AJ (Apple juice). They apparently had a sister called cinnamon but I never met her.

Is this a joke or are you Katie Hopkins or something?

They should have a blackcurrant juice for comedy value.

I had a colleague in our German office whose last name was Wankum.

Oh, that's reminded me of someone I used to know named her daughter Brie. Yes, that's right, after the cheese.

    • Hi there, We are currently having issues with our current nursery in ED, and are looking for an excellent childminder or nanny locally. We live on Melbourne Grove so can walk within a 5-10 min radius. Ideally to start in January 2026 please. We have a 14 month old girl. Any recommendation for other childcare providers would be appreciated too! Thanks a lot, Jojo

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
