Greengrocer on Northcross Rd back open Tuesday. ..

Just talking to Nick & Chris. They have a stall on Northcross road today but the shop re opens Tuesday. Business as usual :)

I was very pleased to hear about the stall - and even more so to know that the shop could be back in business. To my mind there's a real gap in Northcross road - not to mention the local shopping facilities - without it. Great news.

But we must all make sure that we make full use of it - I gather that the new rent is considerably more than it used to be. So they need all the custom they can get.

I noticed that the stall had a lot of organic produces which is great for me but last time I went to their actual shop they said they didn't do much organic vegetables/fruits, has this changed now?

I was talking to Chris last Thursday and Saturday. He didnt mention anything about gonig back into the shop.

So please buy your fruit and veg from local outlets such as this now market stall or SMBS

Just saw Chris today and he said tomorrow they will be open (I guess barring any unforeseen hiccups). Yay!

They'll be back in the same shop permanently.

It probably helped that they had taken up a double market pitch immediately outside the shop.

It does seem reasonable to conjecture that the landlord has some sensitivity to maintaining a profitable ambiance to North Cross Road when the market isn't present

Great to see Chris and the boys back selling fruit n' veg...they are going to see how it goes, as the rent has increased considerably so....we all need to support them, so they can stay! So do spread the word that they are back, as some might not realise....as it had been closed...but now definitely OPEN!!
