What's it like in the Gowlett

I had a look on the Gowlett website and they won an award in 2005, they appear to have quite a good range of Ales, what sort of Lager do they sell, what are the prices like?. is it any good on a thursday night.

A very nice pub. Friendly atmosphere. Good selection of real ales. Various lagers. Fabulous pizzas. A pool table. Monday night pub quiz. Music nights sometimes like Lucky Sevens on a Thursday where you can spin your own 45s. Just go and have look yourself.

Good pub-seems like it must be more of an evening place, as twice on a Saturday and Sunday lunchtime I have wandered over to have a pint and read the papers etc to find barely a sole there. There weas a god atmosphere the last Friday night i popped in.

Last Friday was best and busiest I've seen it in a while (apart from my last lucky 7s night)...

My American Hot was daaaaam hot ... loved it.

Infact I may go more of the same tonight.

Now the Fiorentina with runny egg and extra sun blush tomatoes - that's another story.

In fact, last Saturday, my wife and I vowed never to eat pizza anywhere else ever again! :)

I love the Gowlett and I love Thursday evenings in there. I was in there early last night to play my records then ended up staying till closing time and getting a little bit merry. And the pizza was yummy
