Chaos on public transport (from East Dulwich)

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know why there was such chaos on the trains and buses this morning? No 12 or 197 buses going toward Peckham. Southern and SouthEastern trains severely delayed due to "adverse weather conditions" - what is adverse about a bright sunny March morning?

I'm just grumpy because I got up half an hour early and ended up in the office half an hour late.

According to the radio there were problems on the trains due to ice on the rails, they were recommending not travelling before 9. Don't know what went wrong with the buses.

Rather glad I had already planned to work from home today and saved myself the hassle - sounds like we go via the same route and I would have been delayed too.

7.51 from ED was much more packed than usual, could hardly get on the trai and itnearly kicked off on my carriage between to angry gentlemen.

I hope it is not so busy tomorrow or they could be more shenanigans.

    • Our neighbour had a loft conversion and we signed a party wall agreement - there was no encroachment on our property at all.   His property is leasehold with Southwark being the freeholder, also the ground floor flat is a Southwark tenancy and they were notified. I would definitely get building regs involved.
