Does anyone know why there was such chaos on the trains and buses this morning? No 12 or 197 buses going toward Peckham. Southern and SouthEastern trains severely delayed due to "adverse weather conditions" - what is adverse about a bright sunny March morning?

I'm just grumpy because I got up half an hour early and ended up in the office half an hour late.

According to the radio there were problems on the trains due to ice on the rails, they were recommending not travelling before 9. Don't know what went wrong with the buses.

Rather glad I had already planned to work from home today and saved myself the hassle - sounds like we go via the same route and I would have been delayed too.

Looked like there was an accident involving a bendy bus at Peckham Road junction with Southampton Way. At 7.30 they were putting someone onto a stretcher and into an ambulance. When I went back past at 8 they had closed Peckham Road in both directions.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
