Got it for a good while. Then didn't. Got it for a short while and currently don't.

I don't miss it in the least, the only way it could be made better would be if it was printed on non-glossy absorbent paper, it might then be put to some good use.

Seems that it's only going out to a very small area of SE22 then? I wonder if they know this? I love those freebie magazines and would love to get one. Ah well, will have to make do with the lovely 'Living South' as my only loo reading.:'(

SE22 is distributed to 5,000 homes and businesses in the area, so unfortunately not everyone gets a copy. It goes out at the beginning of the month, so you have to be quick to pick up a copy in the various shops and bars. I try to restock the library a couple of times within the month. For those who don't receive but would like to flick through, you can read online at www.semagazines.co.uk

If anyone would like to check whether there road should get it, please do e-mail me at [email protected]. Distribution is carried out by a reliable company but it is not always 100% perfect. Therefore I very much appreciate feedback from those who regularly receive but have had any problems. The roads mentioned above (Melford, The Gardens, Altima Court, Upland, Lordship Lane Estate, East Dulwich Grove) unfortunately are not on the distribution map.

It is a shame that some people feel the need to make accusations about me taking advertising but not delivering the magazine. There is no way I could still be in business after five years if I did that. So if anyone is unsure about whether they should get it or not, please do not hesitate to contact me, the owner of the business!

Just out of curiousty Festival Fair... how does one decide on the distribution map? I mean is it based on numbers of residence, demographic, ease of access etc? Is there any market research, so to speak, in to the interest of the publication?

Really, I am interested in finding out :)

I like SE22, my Mrs certainly does....I have one quibble though. Why does Surma still have a photograph in his front window claiming to be Lordship Lane curry house of the year. That presentation must have been made three years ago. Time for a new vote SE22.

The distribution started out from Crystal Palace Road (where I live) and includes roads that are linked together. Then it makes sense from a distribution angle to keep roads together rather than dotted around the area.

Thank you TonyQuinn for your kinds words. Re Surma, I guess they are proud of being voted the best Indian by the Forum, even if it was a while back. I guess it is their right to keep the photo (albeit a very bad one of me!) in their window as long as they like. Perhaps if the Forum does a new vote, it might get changed.

    • I’ve tried to find details of surgeries being held before but not found any. The section of the Southwark website that details councillors’ surgeries says that: Your locally elected Councillors will be holding a roving surgery programme in the Dulwich Hill area to enable residents to raise any local issues. Residents will be notified by letter in advance of the date, time and specific streets/roads where the surgery will take place.  Surgeries are not held in August, on Bank Holidays, Easter or in Christmas Week.  Dulwich Hill Ward Councillors I’ve never seen any notification of surgeries being held, including on the DH councillors’ social media accounts. I don’t know if any other residents of Dulwich Hill have? Neighbouring wards all seem to have times and places posted for surgeries.
    • I wouldn't feel too bad about that. It's one of the few degree areas that you can do a BA or a BSc in, so it's a fairly wide-ranging and complex subject. Certainly Truss, Kwasi and Reeves seem to struggle with it.
    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
