I honestly wouldn't know, maybe they do, and if they do, I'm sure a lot of teams do. I used to play a lot of rugby, and we were taught lots of dirty tricks to use in scrummages that the ref couldn't see, so it wouldn't surprise me. The fact is though, Man U and Chelsea have been the top 2 teams in recent years, so it's not surprising that you notice it and point fingers. I hate to say it, but part of it is jealousy, and should Liverpool manage to win a couple of titles (God, just one would be nice), I am sure a lot more attention will be paid to our players, and fingers pointed their way. If West Ham, Spurs, Blackburn, or whoever were the top team, we'd all be saying the same about their players. Everyone does these things, and everyone wants to be top, so it's those teams at the top that are under the spotlight more than most. You point out a couple of examples, and you may well be right, but 2 examples of planned moves doesn't really say that much to me.
