  1. Yeah, sounds like they could be looking for a weapon...

  3. LOL :)-D
  4. Scrap that, Mrs Keef is working late, and I have a pass (as long as I leave straight after the match)! :)-D Jah, CPT??? Anna, come on!!!!!!! You know the pub makes sense, and I promise we won't talk to you at all! ;-)

Sounds bloody great to me!!! >:D<
  6. Sopranos was the one for the Keef household, but alas it's all over. Best British made thing was Ideal, but that's finished now too (I think). Quite liked Rome too, but don't think they're doing a 3rd series... Why have all the good things ended. Other than that, TV is generally sh!te, I tend to watch DVD's in my evenings. Am planning to get some DVDs of The Wire and Spooks to give them a go... I find it hard getting in to TV series, because you have to commit to finding the time to watch them.
  7. Shame Birmingham is the official one. I guess Edinburgh is a good shout to keep our northern neighbours happy. All that said, it has to be the pool!
  8. Alas I think I'll be at home listening to it on the radio. Fancy the pub, but too much going on lately, and don't think Mrs Keef would take to kindly to another night in the boozer for the sake of the footy.
  9. Human Traffic is indeed well wide of any mark, it's trying to be cool beyond belief, and the 2 main charcters (him from Life on Mars, and the blonde tart) are unbelievably annoying. However, Danny Dyer was very funny in it (even if he over did the mockney), and it always makes me laugh... That said, I don't think I've ever seen it when not stoned! :-S Tillie, I'm with you on Romeo & Juliet, it is stunning, and the Harold Perrineau, Jr. stole the show as Mercutio, particularly in the scene where he dies! A film I'm looking forward to seeing is "Ne le dis ? personne" or "Tell no one". It was a novel by Harlan Coben, and when I read it, it was one of those that really painted pictures in my head, and I could see it as a film. Hollywood wanted to turn it in to a big action blockbuster, but the author ended up having it made in France, because the film makers wanted to concentrate on the love story behind it, as well as all the action. This has reminded me, I saw the best (worst) user review ever on Lovefilm for this. karin newman from Stanford-Le-Hope , 17th November, 2007 Really diasappointed that i wasted my time having this one sent to me, as there was no indication of this being a sub-titled film! didn't even bother to watch it!! So why Karin did you then bother to give it 1 star and write this on the internet you fool?!?!?
  10. Ha, that was my immediate thought too! >:D< Very odd though, they could tap on your door first, bit cheeky just coming in to your front yard and going through your rubbish... If that's your property, shouldn't they officially need a warrant?
  11. I know, it was literally one stop from the end of the line, he could have waited! I just remember a really big African bloke pointing at him and shouting "you dirty dirty man", which I have to admit made me chuckle to myself (once I'd grabbed my bag out the way of the stream spreading across the floor!).. He refused to leave the bus, so the driver said fine, and took the bus in to the station where the police were waiting for him.
  12. Excellent, it can make room for a 24 hour needle exchange...
  13. I love the place, it's tacky, it's old school, it's fun, it's cheap, the food is okay - not special, but not horrible, and lines the stomach. The drinks are great :)-D I always read things on here saying how empty it is, but whenever I've been in there it's been at least half full. Opinions are divided, so just give it a try and decide for yourself, even if you don't like it, it won't have set you back too much.
  14. I guess I really should try The Bishop one afternoon, in an attempt to change my opinion of the place... Went in there on Saturday night (quite late), and was immediately reminded why I hate going there, it's too busy, full of tossers on heat, and the doormen are rude bastards!
  15. I'm quite lucky in that I very rarely get sick from drink. Sick on buses is very unpleasant, but I always try to offer a sympathetic smile to the sickee, as it's really horrible being ill, and it's not like they've planned to ruin your day. I remember being on a 177 from Plumstead to Peckham once, when this absolutely horrid piss artist got his cock out and just started pissing on the floor (very nearly hitting my bag!). Now he did not get a symathetic smile!
  16. I've always done the CPT (Surprise surprise), but not sure if they're open this year.
  17. Will take your word for all that, as your info is probably a bit more up to date than mine. I was dealing with a lot of cases about 3 years ago, but haven't been involved for a while. At that time it was rare for asylem to be refused, and would usually be granted within a year.

    Quiet room...

  19. Gary McAllister is the early favourite apparently. Something I read was that a lot of the players are saying that Berti Vogts was actually responsible for a lot of the recent improvement because he pt some good things in place to bring young players through.
  20. I am well aware that I am in a vast minority with Withnail, which is why I keep telling myself that one day I'll suddenly love it...
  21. Basically yes. Even David Beckham said last night on the same Inside Sport that he knows he leads a life that many people would love, and he will never complain about it, but that even the kids these days are getting a share of the silly money. If said when Alex Ferguson told him he was going to train with the 1st team, he didn't think "now I'll be able to get a bar like Brian Robson's", he thought "now I have a chance to play for Man U". If said Ferguson always told them the chance to farm their money would come, the football was the first priority. These days 17 year olds are happy not pushing too hard, because they can afford the flash cars and watches without needing to be top of their game.
  22. As someone rightly pointed out on "Inside Sport" last night, The Scotish FA were paying him something like ?350,000, and needed to basically triple that figure if they wanted to keep him away from the premiership. Pretty sure Walter Smith didn't go back to Rangers purely out of love for the club, and I think they'd need to offer Strachan something special to get him away.
  23. Was torn on Pan's Labyrinth. I enjoyed watching it, but thought it had a good story to tell, and didn't really need the fairytale stuff... Mrs Keef did exactly the same as Bumbelina! Speaking of Labyrinths.... Weird Classic!
  24. Good point, and that is disgusting. However, did those flights ever take off? That was August 2005, and these things are often stopped. I'm not sure.
  25. Or numbers of tickets they will sell. I can think of nothing worse than being closed in to one of these places if they're over filled!
