    a joke

I love that one, first saw it as an NHS in joke, but it's kind of true in any public sector office!
  2. Agreed. I was reading that thing about Fred Phelpes, and was surprised to hear about the good work he did as a lawer for black rights, and started to think where did it all go wrong, but then you read about why he was disbarred, and it becomes clear that the man is obviously a nasty nasty psycho! I remember Louis Theroux getting a few minutes with him, and you could see the anger and hate in his eyes at being questioned!
  3. This documentary about this total psycho proves that even with God "on your side", you can be just as evil as any BNP member!
  4. Oh come Jah, it's nice getting spruced up every now and then... *whispers* black tie doesn't mean full on Dinner Jacket does it? I hate all that!
  5. There is indeed, and good food too! There is also "Mass" which is the tower of the church, but not sure they're open Thursdays... I plan to go there soon, because they are running nights where one room will be live rock bands and music, and another room will be dancey / RnB type stuff, sounds like good fun.
  6. That sounds really good, only thing that would concern me is the 150 people, it's not that big in there... I guess they have the farden though.
  7. I'm tempted by this ale pie someone mentioned, and the burgers people are raving about, so one Saturday after crimbo (when I not completely skint), I shall venture in... Is there anything for veggies? (Mrs Keef)
  8. Great minds sir!
  9. Agreed, but on a Thursday I'm not so sure... Jump on the 37 to Brixton and go to any number of places that aren't The Fridge.
  10. MrBen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > C'mon Keef I doubt you went in there with an open mind did you? I reckon you went in thinking "I hate this place" and you always will so it never stands a chance in your book. Not true, I went there thinking "Thank God, somewhere I can get a pint". I don't judge a place and refuse to ever budge, there have been plenty of places I've not really liked, but grown to love, and places I've loved and grown to hate. I have been there recently on a Saturday afternoon, and sat out back smoking in the heated yeard which was quite nice, but the Friday Saturday nights are horrid, and I'm not an old fella who only likes a quiet old boozer. About 2 minutes after they served me a pint and a short, I tried to go out for a smoke, and the doorman said "we're closed, if you go out you stay out!", and then within minutes they're coming round hassling you to finish your pint and get out. Why then do they serve to that time, surely stop serving a bit earlier, and give people time to drink up. Sorry but as it is, it's just The Forresters with a bit of a face lift, no real difference.
  11. Ha ha, shame this match doesn't mean anything! I have a lot of respect for Wenger, but he is a petulant git at times.
  12. that I am no ho!
  13. cos Tillie's a flirtatious minx see. :-S
  14. I just can't get my head around how a 15/16 year old could just happily take the life of another kid. One of the worst ones I heard was a year or so ago when an asian kid was literally beaten and kicked to death in the middle of the afternoon in a subway tunnel of a shopping centre (not Elephant & Castle). The most shocking thing was that there were about 40-50 teenagers all there recording it on their phones and stuff, and no one did anything to try and stop it! Remember his parents saying they'd just moved to the area because they thought it would be a nice safe place for him.
  15. Tsk tsk, that's not nice.
  16. Fair play. I do know exactly what you are saying, but I just don't believe in class, or at least it's far too broad. For example, I had a bit of a chat with ChavWithaLawDegree about this, and she said she'd probably call me middle class, and I can see why she would, but then my background is in many ways as working class as you can get. Most of my friends would probably be labelled middle class, but the difference in earnings and even lifestyles between us is huge, and some of us "middle class" people are probably far less well off than many "working class" home owning tradesmen. Aaaanyway, that's just what I think of it all.
  17. It's so fecking depressing isn't it. I'm sure the kids who did it will be caught (they usually are), but it won't make a blind bit of difference! Little sh!ts!
  18. Agree with you Louisa, but leave class out of it, middle class has no meaning anymore!
  19. Muttley, I think it's something like an image or effigy isn't allowed... Of course when you take a photo of your son Mohammed you're buggered! I'm sorry, I know it's a different culture and all that, but this "law" is such a load of pure bollocks!!!
  20. you'll think it's a dream
  21. Aston Villa 2 v Arsenal 2 Blackburn 2 v Newcastle 2 (the toon can't be as bad as they were on Saturday) Chelsea 3 v West Ham 1 Portsmouth 2 v Everton 1 Reading 2 v Middlesbrough 1 Sunderland 2 v Derby 1 Wigan 1 v Man City 2 Liverpool 2 v Bolton 1 (Please play Torres Rafa!!!!) 22. Here you go, 3 kids stabbed.
  23. I thought it was parents who complained when their kids got to bring the teddy home for a night. Nice way to treat your kid's teacher, get them arrested and lashed. Mmm lashed... Pint anyone?
  24. All the boys will think I'm a fit lass ;-) (I know, wrong sort of teddy)
  25. dulwichbloke, that was one of the most spot on posts I've ever seen on here, good on ya! (tu)
