  1. I'm doing this journey myself next week and will go one train stop DH to Victoria then pick up the Vic line to Tottenham Hale then Stansted Express.
  2. Is there a particular reason why people are concerned - doesn't the circus come every year?
  3. I hadn't come across you until you engaged with some recent posts of mine. What is your purpose other than to attack?
  4. Yawn.
  5. Tedious.
  6. Another example of Southwark being developer led. I was looking at it again earlier waiting for the bus - they appear to have "mended" that damaged corner and put up wooden decorative bits but I just can't get that pretend glued on brick picture out of my head. That bit of narrow pavement is going to be so busy with station commuters and Sainsbury customers - as well as pushchairs etc.
  7. Sounds like a great time. A lot of people are embracing the current changes in improving the lot of women and seemingly small things like accusations of lack of humour have always been thrown back at them in the past. All that's required is a bit of thought in how we all communicate as language is also key.

  10. Shouldn't the Picturehouse people be dealing with it?
  11. That's good then. What passed for a little joke in the 1970s. Perhaps the title of this thread could be amended?
  12. Totally agree.
  13. When I read the post my first thought was why? On the assumption that you're not related/friends (even then?) it is a slightly odd thing to do on a competent woman's behalf surely?
  14. Hi Well I really just responded to the original op and have sent messages. Two of us have suggested a date and an outing but no word from the op!!
  15. Ok. Do you want to suggest where/when? Anyone else - could be fun in a small informal group?

  17. Well I usually do an 8-10 mile outside London walk with friends each week and try to keep active around that. Wouldn't mind some local treks but not every evening if that's what you mean?! Is there a reason you can't use Dulwich Oark any longer or us that for personal reasons?
  18. That's terrible - I read that she'd taken it down. Awful couple.
  19. Hi Where were you thinking of walking?

And now the tiresome Christine Hamilton. Her departure was, rightly, swift. She's apologised for "upsetting" some people and taken down her unnecessary and racist picture but no sign that she understands or cares about even thinking of posting in the first place.
  21. I have - you are welcome to it when I've flicked through.
