  1. Yes but, as posted previously, it's less about the insurance and more about the safety of pedestrians and the future safety working conditions of the library and M&S staff. Also what the local councillors are doing about it if anything?
  2. Think Spider 69 was saying the opposite? vilservant Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > you are quite right, spider 69, the condition his > condition is in is quite grave > > his tyre dump represents (and has always been) a > grave health and safety risk, not to mention a > serious environmental hazard, and may well need to > relocate once the population density of the area > increases following redevelopment > > I'd also suspect that the days of the > building-materials warehouse and other little > business parks around may also be numbered
  3. This must be a concern surely. Quite apart from the look of it and the cheap veneer for the high asking price, the corner of the building is vulnerable. What happens when the M&S lorries start regular deliveries? There will be people actually living in the flats soon and also using the Library - what about their safety? Have any of the Councillors raised this as a safety issue?
  4. Could the owners come on here and address it? Bad publicity otherwise?
  5. It's a tricky situation. Can really emphasise as I had a similiar problem. In our case it was three young women in the flat below - all of them and their friends smoking inside with a lot of smoke and smells in our flat above them. We had a big shared garden but they couldn't be bothered to go outside. In the end what worked was that, after talking with them etc, I kept contacting my neighbour who was renting his flat to them until he came round to investigate. He was horrified by the smell, colour of walls etc, also it was in our joint lease that smoking wasn't allowed, and gave them notice. It was really wearing and stressful but worked in the end.
  6. Why only 50% available to locals and not 100%?
  7. Like I said, strangely disengaged....
  8. Thanks for your previous response but I do think you are strangely disengaged from the people you are trying to engage and wonder why.
  9. Maybe keep us up to date without people having to request though? You have always sounded just a bit disengaged from your audience maybe?
  10. Seriously - this post started ostensibly from an enthusiastic customer. Various posters have expressed views on whether Kickstarter funding is appropriate for this already established businesss. The business itself hasn't seen fit to get involved on this a local forum so if they are seeking funding via an alternative route, e.g. Facebook, then let them do that. Personally, I'm more interested in konowing whether the pay issues have been resolved before I visit.
  11. Maybe we could be updated by the original op whether any pay issues have been resolved? Don't necessarily have to know the detail but personally I would want to know about this sort of stuff if I were to get involved.
  12. Why would they need to?
  13. Looking at the Kickstarter mission statement it seems to be for creative stuff like musicians etc but definitely for new startups who may not have any other pathway to funding so starting another restaurant, on the face of it, seems inappropriate?
  14. edcam Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There have always been some miserable, negative > dickwads here but they're out in force on this > thread. Nice. Think one of the points being made is that possibly there's an ongoing staff pay issue (though don't know if this has now been resolved) but if not then it's possibly rather inappropriate for other connected people to encourage contributions to this scheme currently.
  15. Sorry just seen this. A similar cat was staring into my back door a couple of days ago but ran off when I gently opened the doors. However, he sadly didn't have a tail so possibly not yours?
  16. No idea what happened on the posted pay issue - just seems strange to have two threads saying different things. Can't ignore surely?
  17. Was there not a thread on here recently about the BB allegedly not paying their staff properly?
  18. Yawn. You really do live in the 1970s don't you.
  19. Mine disappeared for 10 minutes earlier today!
  20. This has already been posted and I commented on the possible closure
  21. We have a similar problem with ours and it's going through the insurance channel who deal with everybody concerned.

No idea what you're on about as per but no.
