  1. We use Domestic and General after being disenchanted with BG (they still keep ringing us!). Actually we seem to use DomGen for a lot of warranty/service issues!
  2. P12 goes from Nunhead to Honor Oak Park. Another alternative which I do if I need to is to carry on up Brocley Way without turning into Brenchley Gardens until you get to the footbridge over the railway line. Over the bridge to are in Eddystone Road, turn right into Buckthorne Road, right into Courtrai Road and left into Grierson Road. Turn right at the end of Grierson Road and you are there. I have to agree however that opening the gate (which used to be open during the day) would be better.
  3. For years I have gone with Sony ericsson but got myself a Tocco at contract renewal. It is a lovely phone. It does not require a stylus - in fact a stylus does not work. Its technologdy is that you have to use your fingers. The camera is good and the music play is OK as well (though not as good as Sony Ericssons). I don't have a separate music player (ipod etc). It also plays video and on the 8g microSD I have 6 feature films (ripped at 320x240). The battery lasts days unless I have been playing a film. Look at independent reviews such as this one - it will allow you to compare phones. Both my boys also got Toccos as I put them on contract (very good deals)

  5. And also, they have not repaired the damage they caused to the Limesford Road Gate. I am pretty sure it was that crew who damaged it.
  6. Ha... yes I noticed that. I said to Mrs Zephyr that that bench isn't normally there - for a start it is not concreted to the ground!
  7. So... anyone been watching Spooks new series. In tonights episode there were scenes on 'Highgate' Cemetery. Of course it was infact Nunhead cemetery that those scenes were filmed in
  8. Pesto bread for lunch - like garlic bread but with gorgeous home made pasto in instead. Sprinkling of freshly grated parmaggio on top beofre it goes in the oven. Hmm ... delicious. Roast lamb etc for tea!

  11. are you getting a read error or does the disc eject?

I am on Limesford Road and we got a dip and surge. Very strange - I was standing talking to my family after getting in from work and the lights dimmed for a few seconds. At the same time that they brightened the subwoofer connected to my PC made a very strange subwoofer sound. Then every thing was nornal again
  13. I was getting this error but after a short time I stopped getting it. The workd rounds suggest that it is router based and thus connection based but I am not convinced as the connection must be their in order to see your friends and attempt to join them in the first place. The Nintendo site says that this is often just a temporary issue and resolves itself. My guess it is actually a server issue i.e. a problem at the server that manages the connections.
  14. Good couple of Grand Prix - I had to get my son to play a couple of races as I had to put the dinner out. Must do it again! I may be on later!
  15. I looked up the error code on the nintendo web site and it says that it is often temporary and should resolve itself
  16. I can see Ant and Al&Em but when I try to join the room i get disconnected with error code 86420
  17. The government will not be printing lots of notes for the banks. There is an excellent article here tht explains what happened to the money and how the government will give the banks more money. Instead of printing they will buy shares in the banks
  18. LuvPeckham 0731-4909-7027 (races as Auntie Bob) Asset 0989-3800-3805 (races as ????) Mockney 2578-5184-9841 (races as Piersy) Ant 3265-5771-9216 (races as Ant) Ruffers 0860-4762-8498 (races as ruffers) Siduhe 4038-7520-5555 (races as Siduhe) MelbourneGr 3093-7766-2007 (races as Bizzy) Ratty 3308-6854-3285 (races as Daddy) zephyr 3824-1452-2972 (races as joolzz) I have added everyone to my system and have added my code to the list for everyone to add.
  19. Mario Kart Did the races go head - I lost track in the thread. I have marioKart and would be happy to loin in if there were going to be any other races.
  20. I had Wii Fit delivered on Monday. Got it for ?115 with two other games as a bundle from Comet. I could not get ot on its own for the proper price. It is not with 'Amazon' but it is am inflated price. be aware that you would not be buying it from Amazon but from a seller that uses amazon.
  21. If you click the link on the BBC page for other insects invading the UK you get the ladybirds which are very prominant in Dulwich/Nunhead I even saw a Rosemary Beetle last month - I have reported it earlier today - very pretty but I did not realise how much damage they do. Not seen any spiders though
  22. Its OK. Had a few family gatherings there and if we want a 'posh' chinese takeaway we get it from there. They even deliver to nunhead!
  23. The lights are temporary whilst the work continues on the underground pipework/main from Honor Oak Reservoir as are the 'painted in' road cushions on Colyton Road. I quite like the lights when crossing Forest hill road into Dunstans as it used to be a nightmare with cars edging out all the time and a number of near accidents. I would not like to see the return of the zebra crossing when/if they are removed but would rather see a Pelican crossing in its place. I would vote to keep them but look at their phasing.
