quote 'there is a 5?-6? deep tiled, paved forecourt' Thats more like the Mirash as the Greens forecourt must be about 10' deep
-
Can that happen with listed buildings? They are listed so anyone who buys them would have to comply the the regulations.

Just did a quick google search. Planning permission was granted in 2005 to turn the College Lodge into a Hortcultural training centre. Interestingly the main objecter was the current tenants at the time who objected as they were living in it. Apparently that is not enough to get planning permission refused though. If it is boarded up then I guess they moved out. I have attached the files to this message. Alot of work need to be done on the building according to the documents. From the Dulwich Park Friends newsletter Autumn 2007: "Park buildings We're pressing the Council to reach a decision on making Rosebery Lodge the borough's Warden Centre. However, there is still no word on suitable tenants for College Lodge, and until there is, work cannot start on either building. As the lodges are falling deeper into disrepair, DPF is lobbying the Council for action"

I don't. There is something very ironic about what you have said. You said in an earlier post that you have a child with special needs - technically Lord Harris would possibly have been a visitor to Sunshine house had it been around in his day and we would have been classed as having special needs (it is well known that he is dyslexic). He is a life peer - if I had been given a peerage I would use it, no pont in accepting it otherwise. He has given a very large amount of money to education and been involved with many schools (not just the ones in South East London). He probably qualifies more than most to build or rebuild a school. -
This link gives you the rules about seat belts. You would be expected to wear the seat belt correctly i.e. according to the manufacturers instructions which means over the shoulder. Not entirely sure why you would want to wear it under your arm and if you had an accident you would have a higher chance of being dead. Going under you arm would mean it is over the lower part of your ribcage and body which in turn would mean it is over your liver. Trauma to that is extremely dangerous and can be fatal on its own.

That is true - the Green's forecourt is very big.
-
The Green's restaurant was on two levels and it has a service road at the back but the Tandoori oven has stumped me. The pictures I have seen of the Mirash do not seem to show a restaurant on two levels (i.e. ground and basement)

Sounds like The Green to me.

Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How late does their license let them stay open and > are there regulations on the use of the outside? Not sure how late the licence is but you are not allowed to drink outside after 10pm - not even soft drinks. Apparently the neighbours opposite are very vigilant and report any breaking of th rules.

The parakeets have been in the Rye for a few years. They were very noticable in Nunhead cemetary last year (not noticed them ther before. Noticed them also in Crystal Palace park last week. Not seen the Kingfisher though. Hopefully one of many to come?

I occasionally get the same sorts of emails. I use 5 different email addresses one of which I use for ebay. I am very careful with this one ans never get any spam other than fake ebay or paypal emails. This address (and my others) are not usual names or words and are 'made up'. The only way anyone can get my ebay email address is from another ebay user who has harvested email address from people they have sold items to or bought from. I get spam in my ither email inboxes because at some point they have been published on websites (though now removed). I use one particular email to do all my online shopping (other than ebay) I have seen a number of articles where people have gone after the spammers in order to do much the same thing as you describe though I am not sure how well it would work.

My boys both have ipod nanos and use itunes but I won't touch it. Why would I need to. My music player is my Sony Ericsson w880i with its ear bud noise excluding earphones. It has a 4gb card in it. I can drag and drop tunes onto it using a miniUSB card reader if I take the card out or drag and drop onto the phone when its plugged into the PC. Many do not like Media Player but I use its library which is fine and use it to rip CDs. My systen is automatically backed up weekly to an external hard drive. I do not buy music online as it is a pain in the backside. itunes has far too many compatability issues with PCs and laptops My phones music player has never crashed and had to be 'restored' Whats more I get a free upgrade of my music player every 12-18 months. Get a decent walkman phone and not an overpriced stand alone player (I admit that they do look cool)

I would like the ED Somerfield to become a Waitrose. I know they are expensive but they do stock a few products which are ard to get elsewhere - 'Guinness' Marmite being one - yum!

Not really a chain, more like owned by the same person. He also owns Au Ciel (cafe) in the village. Knew him a few years ago as his kids went to Goodrich. he is a nice guy, very friendly. -
The poppadoms from BBC are the type my mum has used for years. You can easily do them yourself as they are available at asian supermarkets (I work in Tooting and have bought them there for my mum). You can either shallow fry them or for a lower fat option brush or spray them with oil and microwave them.

That is an interesting edit - hiding something?

Your first post is great - just the sort of thing to get people hackles rising - or was that the intent? In no way bigotted, just a nice reasoned arguement. I suspect you have been on this forum posting as someone else as the language you use and what you say belies your 2 week registration.

In a previous thread I mentioned that I saw the 'Spooks' crew filming around that area. Am about to record the episode.

it was filmed round Brockley. I will check if it is on Virgin Catchup TV. If it is I will let you know as I may be able to record it to DVD.

The Flashing Blade was one of my favourites as was Champion the Wonder Horse

20 kph - thats about 12mph which is very slow! I am not a very fast rider but I could not cope with that. I guess even that speed would be dependant upon the size of the rider so for me its top speed may only be 5mph!

Do that in the morning and then come along to the Goodrich Community Primary School Fayre from 1pm until 4pm
