  1. Councilor Barber's Vision of Cycle Super Highway.. Four Wheels Bad.. Two Wheels Good
  2. Ruggers The term Rugby players use to describe themselves. Such as lacrosse players are 'laxers' or 'lax bros', ruggers is a term used widely throughout the world in rugby culture. It is NOT slang for the actual sport of rugby, but for those who play it. Can be used in place of the words friends, bros, ect. "Oh shit, here come the rest of the ruggers" "Where my ruggers at!?" "Free beer for all the ruggers!" by WVURFC December 14, 2012 Foxy Goes further back than that..
  3. Yes indeed.. Where ever David Forde ends up, I would happily pay his fare.. One way that is... As useful as tits on a boar, so to speak.. Foxy.
  4. I doubt that the designers of most road 'improvement' schemes ever visit the area.. Mostly they will sit at their computer terminals playing a type of SimCity simulation game.. Closing off roads and creating one way systems with no real understanding of traffic flow in the area.. No doubt getting paid handsomely for doing so.. Utter waste of money and resources. So why mark just selected bins and not all.. None of my neighbours bins have numbers or have been marked.. ? DulwichFox
  6. I would check with the refuse collection team that it was them .. Burglars chalk mark houses 'Da Pinchi Code.' to target the rich and vulnerable.. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/revealed-secret-chalk-marks-thieves-4668387 I don't want to alarm people but maybe a new way of marking homes.. Hopefully it was the refuse collectors.. but why selective marking.. Better to be aware. DulwichFox

(Labour) I have known Councillor Barber for many years and worked in the same building, different department when were both in Telecoms.. He is a nice enough Chap (for a Liberal Democrat) :) but does indeed like to blow his own trumpet.. as you so put it.. He does seem to get much of the credit for what goes on in East Dulwich Single handily authorising the building of Schools, Cinemas and demolishing long standing less appealing stores for more up-market outlets in a vain attempt to gain popularity and for self interest. Look forward to hearing more of Labours involvement in the area.. DulwichFox

  13. Utter Nonsense ?? How Traffic Jams Affect Air Quality No one will be surprised to learn that areas with the largest number of cars on the road see higher levels of air pollution on average. Motor vehicles are one of the largest sources of pollution worldwide. You may be surprised to learn, however, that slower moving traffic emits more pollution than when cars move at freeway speeds. Traffic jams are bad for our air. http://www.environmentalleader.com/2012/01/05/how-traffic-jams-affect-air-quality/ DulwichFox

  18. Dear Mr. ******* Thank you for collecting Green Clubcard Points. We wanted to let you know that from 5 October, retailers across England will begin charging 5p for single use carrier bags as part of new government laws to reduce waste and improve our environment. This means that we will no longer issue Green Clubcard Points when you reuse your plastic bags. And we are being told the Supermarkets are doing their bit to encourage people to reuse bags.. Shame on you Tesco DulwichFox.
  19. And when everyone observes the 20 MPH limit and the fines dry up.. what next... I've got an idea.. 15 MPH limit. Foxy.

I've been getting so much stick from certain forum members (Not curry club members I hasten to add) about expressing my views on EDF and being accused of being Egotistic & Narcissistic I thought I would step down and leave it to someone else.. These comment were sent to me in a PM after I posted a picture of a Vintage number 12 bus and was told it was non net-etiquette to post pictures on the forum . You could not make it up. lol.
