Aircraft have to fly over someone's home.. Especially when landing. Anyone who has ever flown has absolutely no right to complain about Aircraft noise. So get over it. DulwichFox

Heres a little taster to get you off the mark... Re: the French Cafe, Peckham Rye Posted by DulwichFox April 02, 12:05PM Went there this morning.. Delightful little place... Had a Pot of Tea 2.00 and one of those spirally current things (Pain aux raisins) ? 2.25 Tea was fresh in a proper china tea-pot with little milk jug. Pain aux raisins was very fresh. Lovely atmosphere with pleasant low level background music so you can talk without shouting. Loved the simplicity of the d?cor and the little cushions. Not at all ostentatious. Very attentive and pleasant staff.. Hope not too many people find out about it. I want it all to my self .. smiling smiley No. Well worth a visit.. Could not resist the rustic sugar cubes Brown and White. not good for my B.G. levels.. But then I discovered they have gone to the trouble of providing Sweetners. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- messageRe: The Patch/the Mag Posted by DulwichFox March 19, 05:35PM Im impressed . They have got this place up and running pretty quick. Really looks like they know what they are doing. Good addition to the area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Re: Franca Manca Posted by DulwichFox 19 November, 2014 10:30 Spoke to someone last night who had just been to Franco Manca. They thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do not relentlessly complain. They don't pay Road Tax .. If you have a bike keep it indoors.. No place.. ??? Live Up Stairs ?? What about buggies ?? Same problem.. So are we going to have Buggy Hangers ??? When we lived in flats back in the 50's - 70's there used to be purpose built Pram /Cycle Sheds. This is just another attack on the Motorist Anyone wishing to have one outside their house should NOT then also own a car which they then park outside someone else's house. DulwichFox

New Conrad Shawcross sculptures arrive

New sculptures in Dulwich Park will be unveiled to replace a stolen Barbara Hepworth sculpture. The sculptures by youngest living Royal Academician, British artist Conrad Shawcross were commissioned by the council as a legacy to the Two Forms Divided Circle Barbara Hepworth sculpture, which was stolen in 2011. Conrad Shawcross said: ?Three Perpetual Chords are a counterpoint to a traditional civic sculpture in that the loops invite approach, play and physical interaction. The sequence of three works has emerged from my ongoing study of light and harmonics, creating a new trail through the park. They deal with the numbers within three musical chords, The Octave, The Fifth and The Fourth. These knot-like forms host a void within them and this is a subtle reference to Hepworth?s work, in which the hole is ubiquitous.? Shawcross? sculptures, Three Perpetual Chords, will be officially launched at a public event on Saturday 18 April at Dulwich Park. http://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/new-sculpture-to-be-unveiled-at-dulwich-park/ DulwichFox -
Ivanhoe You need to read this. Home Sellers to declare presence of Japanese knotweed Posted by Ben Lindley - Nov 2013 Tags: Residential Property - Comments (0) Property Information Form (TA6) forms part of the contract documentation when you are selling your home. It requires the seller to disclose information about the property. The 3rd Edition of the TA6 form came into effect a few weeks ago and now includes new questions on Japanese knotweed. The form states that: ?Japanese knotweed is an invasive plant that can cause damage to property. It can take several years to eradicate.? It then asks sellers; ?Is the property affected by Japanese knotweed?, with the answer ?Yes, No or Not Known? required. If a seller, based on the best of their knowledge, answers ?No?, and it subsequently transpires that the plant is present, then the buyer may pursue the seller for compensation. Therefore if providing a ?No? answer a seller may be advised to add a caveat that, no guarantee is given in this regard and that the buyer should instruct a suitable Home Buyers Survey to be absolutely sure. http://japaneseknotweed.co.uk/news/2013/11/home-sellers-to-declare-presence-of-japanese-knotweed/ DulwichFox

They are a Pain and they are back in town again.. I used to go to the trouble of catching them and taking them outside. !! I used to place a shot glass over them and slide a playing card under the glass to trap them and then release them outside. Its futile, there were 100's 1000's of them. they eat my Axeminster carpets, my clothes, and my cashmere scarf. That was the final straw. I am sorry but I have had to resort to a Moth Spray. A quick burst when ever I see one. I also have some electric plugin devices that attracts them (Blue light) but they not catch/kill many moths . It's a nightmare. What do they look like ? They are very small. 1/2 an inch or smaller DulwichFox -
For Many years I regularly eat Fried Chicken Ribs and chip.. Apple Pie.. a well as my regular curries. At work with 30 people in my office it was always some ones birthday so Cakes donuts.. I was about 8 1/2 stone but reached 10 1/2 stone. Now that does sound a lot but on my frame it was enough to develop type 2 Diabetes. 2011 Its not the fat.. its the carbs.. After careful diet control I have reversed my diabetes. Diabetes UK now acknowledge this can be achieved. Only 4 - 5 years ago they refused to admit that. Well they did not know. I eat virtually everything now but still have to be careful. I could still re-develop type 2 again. As could ANYBODY else. especially if you are over 40. Still eat Fried chicken occasionally but not more than once / twice a week and most of it ends up as a late night snack for the Foxes. They like chicken but not ribs DulwichFox

red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Google Translate i?in lanet ederiz!... I do not need Google.. but the sentence does make much sense as a stand alone statement. In Turkish there are verbs ie Demek To Say and there are verbs that use an Auxiliary like Lanet etmek To Curse Turkish uses Vowel Harmony so all verbs end with -mek or -mak according to the nearest preceding vowel. the short infinitve -me -ma can be used to make commands Koy+me -- Put but is not always necessary Koy -- Put familiar Koyun -- Put formal Koyunuz -- Put Very Formal. So your statement 'i?in lanet ederiz ' literally ?? i?in = for lanet etmek = To Curse lanet ederiz = We curse / lanet ederim I Curse / lanet ederin You Curse / lanet eder He/She It Curses Note. in Turkish the t changes to d to aid pronunciation .. So your sentence means :- 'For we curse' It only makes any sense in the context of what was previously said. There is a lot of that in Turkish. That why there are no words for 'a' and 'the' Hope that helps. DulwichFox -

You may of been referring to K?z as opposed to Koz Well spotted but they are two very separate words.. Koz means. 1. a chance (to attack or to defend oneself); a trump, an ace up one's sleeve. 2. playing cards trump. 3. walnut. K?z means. 1. ashes (containing a few live coals). 2. live coals. Misspelling some Turkish words can be lead to some very embarrassing results. Trust me ? There is only one letter difference between the verbs To Pester and To F*** be careful :) Foxy -

Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I sometimes eat kebabs, but I never eat doner > kebabs. > > There are different kinds of kebab, Fox :) Yes I'm fully aware of that and although street kebabs have been virtually banned in Tourist areas of Turkey. Street D?ner Kebab is difficult to find as many outlets have been closed down like the mobile Hot dog Stands in the West End were. Traditionally Turkish kebab shops sold only one type of kebab So you would have D?ner kebab shops, K?fte kebab, Shish kebeb Shops, Iskender Kebab Shops Adana Kebab shops And several more.. I eat all of them.. Foxy -
