East Dulwich Garden Centre - closing down

Do Libraries still have books. ??? Do Kids still read Books. With all the internet access. You seee kids with Smart Phones. Do not see many kids with a book. I thought Libraries wer closing due to Council Budgets and no one was using them. I have not been to a Library for over 30 years.. I thought libraries were for elderly people to keep warm. A place where you could do colour Photocopying and Re-cycle your spent printer cartridges and batteries. Fox. -
I'm not saying I need another Pharmacy. I use LLoyds. I used it today. James was seemed to suggest protecting local businesses. Well LLoyds is not a local business. It is a Multi- national. I do not constantly think just about myself, but am concerned about those less mobile. The point I was making was that people are saying We do not need another Pharmmacy Well we do not need another Mummy Club Tea Shop.... but no one would complain if yet anotherone opened at DMC. Fox

LadyDeliah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What's wrong with having a pharmacy in the > surgery? People with late appointments at DMC often find it is too late to get down to the Chemists to get their script. Elderly / Disabled people who have difficulty walking whould find this service beneficial. Also people with small children. Nearest Pharmacy is LLoyds. Great service there, but another Multi-national with 100's branches. Tarot:- Where would they put a lift. ?? Lift not required as appointments can be made in the downstairs surgeries. I bet if they wanted to open a tea & cakes shop with 'Buggie Park' there would be no objection. But anything usefull gets the big No No. Fox.

With so many road closures / no right turns / no entries (not just East Dulwich) many drivers get lost. They become frustrated and annoyed and this does not help with their overall driving performance. A absolute Classic example of this is :- Oakhurst Rd. used to run into East Dulwich Road.. But the last 50 mtres is closed off (No Entry) Non Residential ??? So you have to go from Oakhurst:- Kelmore Grove:- Residential. The Gardens:- Residential. Peckham Rye (B219):- Heavy Traffic congestion then left back into East Dulwich rd. That's if you don't get lost again. More dangerous to Residents. More Pollution. More congestion. Ridiclous.. Fox.

Are there other diseases that simply didn't exist in the 70s? ------------------------------------------------------------- Aretaeus of Cappadocia discovered coeliac (celiac) disease in 2nd century While a role for carbohydrates had been suspected, the link with wheat was not made until the 1940s by the Dutch paediatrician Dr Willem Dicke. The link with the gluten component of wheat was made in 1952 So it has always existed but not understood. That is because most of the roads do not have cameras (Yet); I am not at all opposed to 20 mph on some roads. I campaigned back in the 1980's to get Dunstans Rd made 20mph after several accidents. But a blanket 20 mph across Southwark is not needed. Fox

That way they can get more money before someone actually gets banned. A 20 mph limit across Southwark would catch out 1,000's of even careful drivers, Generate Millions in revenue and result in many drivers being banned. And Southwark would get what they want. Cars off of the road. Fox. Fox.

I Have a Ford Escort Encore auto. Does not have 'Drive' Has a 'L' Low gear. But engine revs at 3,000+ revs. and it is used for going up Very steep hills. Could not be used to travel long distance. Amount of Petrol I would waste and the added pollution. Fox.

intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > When trying to drive at 20 mph I find it helps to > change down a gear or two . Because most of my driving is in town, I drive an automatic. 20 mph is around the point where the auto gearbox changes up. It makes it difficult to keep at a constant speed. You need delicate foot control. With the addition of average speed cameras people get nervous about exceeding the limit even for a few seconds. People are not concentrating on the road ahead. There would be a big increase in low speed shunts. Pedestrians are more likely to run across the road and cyclists are likely to take greater risks. 20 mph is fine in residential back streets. where there are parked cars. Fox.

Driving in a 20mph zone has it's own hazards... Drivers are used to judging their speed at 30mph... Cars are not designed to be driving at 20mph. In a 20 mph zone a driver has to Constantly look down at their Speedo as it is so easy to creep above 20 mph This means you are also constantly driving with yours eyes off of the road. Driving at 20 mph cars tend to travel closer together. So looking up from your speedo (Which is the same as looking up from your mobile phone or radio) you find the car in front has suddenly stopped or a cyclist or pedestrian is in front of you.. 20 mph does not necessarily mean safer.. Hi Domme Jay... When you say. go to the team viewer website, join a remote control session and give them my computers details (which I didn't), Are you saying You didn't give them your computer details or you did not join the remote session. If you joined the remote seesion, (and I really do not wish to worry you.) but if you did join a remote session they would have been able to examine the contents of your PC. You may of seen your curser move under their control. Did you download anything. You may of downloaded Dangerous software. If you did not download or join any remote session you should be safe. If you did you should change your any login passwords / email passwords and run any Anti Spyware software you have installed. You should also Run Microsoft Windows Malicious Software removal Tool.
