  5. The Devon St Facility is very good and Clean. does not involve climbing ladders as did the one at Manor Place. It is enclosed so also dry. Also takes cooking oil. If you go to the Lambeth one, expect long queues at the w/e. Very littered. I got a puncture their on one occasion. Fox.
  6. Sid Lives... Shine on..... Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine! Diamond. :) Fox.
  7. Some people have expressed concern at M&S bringing more people and their cars into the area. At the weekend Lordship lane has reached Saturation Point.. Local people sufferer enough with late night revelers without attracting more people into the area. And opening more restaurants will eventually affect established businesses. It's alright for The Dulwich Village Clan to slum it up in E.D. Then return to the tranquility of 'Village Life' where no one has to suffer the noise, litter and bodily functions. Fox
  8. A solution to this little Conundrum... Iceland Stays... M&S replaces the Co-op. Solved... Next problem please. Fox.

  12. It's not quite that easy.. You will need A Powerfull Server with a lot of Disk Space. You will need a second Server to Disk Shadow to ensure Data is secure if your Master Server goes down. Servers are expensive to run. They need to be on 24/7 You will need to be Competent in the following: MySQL database Development and Management. PHP Programming. phpmyadmin. A front end for creating Data Bases without the tedium of creating them line by line in MySQL If using Windows can can download the W.A.M.P package Windows . Apache. MySQL. PHP If using Linux can can download the L.A.M.P package Linux . Apache. MySQL. PHP You then need to know how to relate PHP with MySqL and be able to set up the php.ini file. & php-config data. You will need to allocate system security for all data. You will need to encrypting software set up to keep Users passwords secure. You will be responsible that Threads do not contain libelous material / Pornographic content and much more. It is a full time job that requires a lot of work to maintain. Software upgrades Nightly backups. Good House keeping. Also Commercial Anti-virus / Malware prevention Software. That should be enough to be getting on with. Fox.

  21. It would seem staff have been told they will get 3 months notice of any changes. As it stands, staff have yet to receive such notice. So Iceland should be there 'till early December at least. Fox.
  22. So many establishments heating the outside just to please Smokers. Whilst inside there is often no heating at all. A new campaign has been launched to halt the spread of environmentally-damaging patio heaters. The heaters - an increasingly familiar sight outside pubs and at family barbecues - have become a hate figure for green groups. They say the heaters, which can cost as little as ?75, only heat the sky and could be responsible for as much as 1m tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. But in a new survey the Energy Saving Trust (EST) claim the gas and electric powered heaters are growing in popularity and ownership is set to almost double from 1.2 million to 2.3 million. It is estimated that larger commercial heaters are now in almost 60,000 pubs, 25,000 restaurants and thousands more hotels, clubs, cafes and bars.
