Blimey wardy! I have all sorts of memories of the school - nothing particularly interesting just normal child things. There were some teachers there though (whom I am still in contact with even after all these years) that I can really say had a huge impact on my life. I was introduced to music by the traditional experience of the recorder. Encouraged by a fab teacher who never put anyone down even if they werent very good... From the recorder, which I loved and dare I say excelled in, my interest moved to the piano. Being impressionable I loved the music played in assembly and thought the teacher playing the piano there was amazing. Coming from a family not necessarily in the know of these things we sought advice from this particular teacher. She always enquired how I was doing and would let me practise in a spare room whenever I wanted. The encouragement - looking back on it now - was amazing. Nobody knew I was to continue with music and when I compare these teachers to ones at secondary school in other subjects who thought I was just "going through a phase" I feel very lucky to have had such support from such a young age.
