Technically yes but the pressure put on all companies to provide the service they contract to without risk of being fined this is often ignored. Bus drivers are often placed in difficult situations where the bus is found to be faulty - doors, ramp etc not working even dodgy hand rails - They still have to drive the bus in service under the instruction of the controllers and engineers. The 40 bus is a classic example of this with poor maintenance - rear doors continuously have issues opening.
  2. You weren't really "thrown" off the bus though were you? The driver simply refused to carry you and your goods. Sounds to me that although you're complaining about his manner perhaps yours wasn't the most friendly either. Works both ways you know and at the end of the day if the driver refuses to take a passenger on board, for whatever reason, they are perfectly within their rights to do so - yes it's true!
  3. 11400 people? really? :-s
  4. I friend of mine not so long a go had one emerge from is stomach (very much like THE alien scene) after he started prodding at what he thought was a skin tag... the video footage is amazing (minus the screaming)... ugly little thing. He's based in West Dulwich. I blame them - the West Dulwichers :-))
  5. Didn't know it still existed ;-)
  6. Jersey boys and the Commitments are both on the same par really although I personally found the Jersey Boys to be a little more serious than the Commitments and the Commitments a little boring but could see a lot of people not used to going to the theatre would enjoy it.
  7. So... where'd you get it/them in the end? The egg cup/s that is. :-)
  8. How long have you had the phone? If it's not too long I'd get on to your provider, make a big fuss and hopefully they'll be nice enough to offer you a different phone
  9. The "wotsits" surely LN?! Especially when they get wet...
  10. Where was she stolen from?
  11. Does there have to be a reason?
  12. I can't really talk about ED as I tend not to spend my limited free time out and about socialising in the local area but I think it might be a little unfair to say it's difficult for singles to get out there and mix. It's probably more a confidence thing. I mean I know there a lot of people who simply wouldn't go to the pub by themselves to avoid looking like a "loner". I'm much the opposite. I'm a terrible chatter... will talk to anyone (haha no not in the weird stalker way!). Or rather I always tend to end up talking to random people, much to the annoyance of those I am actually out with. Inquiring on the taste of the sample ale someone is trying is a popular conversation starter... *shrugs* I have long ago given up on understanding the human race. Butterflies are much more simpler ;-)
  13. Pato... how would you describe yourself in a lonely hearts ad? ;-)
  14. comments such as "ah man this website is well broken by us, it's ridiculous I can't get anything to load, they're really rubbish" whilst having as many devices as possible open trying to load the same page... really?
  15. www.bestoftheatre.co.uk Can sometimes be better and less confusing than lovetheatre
  16. my triangle wasn't good enough :-(
  17. *yawn*

You could initiate your own get togethers in addition. From what I see on that thread that it's all quite open to suggestion for when who/where/when. Am I mistaken?
  20. In many streets there is more housing/greater number of drivers per house than there are parking spaces. CPZ does NOT guarantee you'll get yourself a parking space and only pushes the strain to other neighbouring streets which are already experiencing the same problem. The only positive, I've noticed with residents in other areas where CPZ is in place, is a self satisfaction that none residents to the street can't park which to me seems quite petty. No one has the "right" to be able to park in their own street, much the same as there is no "right" to park directly outside ones own property - something missed by many in the area. Once CPZ is instated it's bloomin' difficult to get it removed if it's proven to cause more problems. The whole "be careful what you wish for" is quite an understatement

Not sure what this has to do with dropped kerbs a long a stretch of road - surely it's the responsibility of the pedestrian, regardless of "disability", to ensure they cross at a safe place - being able to see clearly across the road. If they can't see another safer place should (yes I know people cross where ever and frustrates the hell out of me as an observer) should be found to cross. Whilst many a time road users are unfriendly to the non road users (personal opinion) I can't see, in this instance, how visibility is an issue... perhaps I'm missing something?
  22. If you do spot bad or even dangerous bit of pavement or road report it to Southwark council. https://forms.southwark.gov.uk/ShowForm.asp?fm_fid=276 Take a picture or describe what the problem is in a lot of detail, and id also add stressing on potential danger risk
  23. They don't come in blue...
  24. I'd best get packing then! :-(
