  2. Belopple are you saying you are wanting to meet new people your own age, make friends and get a girlfriend or just letting us know of your status amongst society?

SE transport infrastructure is > lacking. I disagree - it's a bloomin' good service we have already! Yes there's room for improvement but that's the same for many things! ETA - the night service is a godsend! Go back 10+ years, that's where you could've been sitting there complaining.
  4. Hmmm I never understand the general attitude as if it's the end of the world when a small alteration to any route occurs... it's NOT a huge deal. You'll have to a walk a little if you need to be further up. The whole business with elephant is a silly grumble - we all know it's going to take a while for everything to be completed and for regular road users to become familiar with the new layout (hence the traffic) so be sensible and allow a little extra for your journey - get up earlier and think ahead instead of leaving things to the last minute. *shrugs*
  5. If the council come back with a ridiculous response that they dont consider that particular spot a "trip hazard" (as they often do) keep on at them. Sorry to hear of ya ouchies Sue. I fully sympathise - i had a collision with a pavement during the summer (not round here) nothing broken, lots of blood, ruined spare glasses and a bruised ego (left feeling incredibly stupid)... (((you)))
  6. Its certainly much better than it used to. If u have difficulties wiv appointments dont just meekly mumble and accept it. Speak up ask their advice how to get an appointment and be firm whilst appearing flexible and willing to find a solution and ur sorted :-)
  7. Bog standard proceedure since the beginning of time... get wiv it man!
  8. Artful!!! I nearly drop me cuppa!
  9. In short theyre just taking out the round about. My interpretation is slightly diff to the above... From TFL weekend travel email: Elephant and Castle - From 05:00 on Sunday, the Elephant and Castle Roundabout will be removed and switched to two-way traffic, as part of the Road Modernisation Plan. The work will start at 22:00 on Saturday and temporary traffic changes will be in place until completed. There will be no left turn from Newington Causeway onto New Kent Road, no right turn from New Kent Road onto Newington Causeway and no U-turns will be possible at the junction. Hope this helps :-)
  10. Really? Like REALLY?!! hmmm *shuts up*
  11. definately a tabby cat. you might want to change the title of your thread to reflect that - you might have a better response :)

In reference to the nosey by standers - Blimey... worse than curtain twitching eh?! You may think it a little over kill and certainly the reporting is highly amusing, apparently the police numbers ranged from 15-20 up to 30-40 according to "eye witnesses"... The usual damned if ya do damned if ya don't situation surely!
  13. Was there any further development on this? *being nosey*
  14. Fazer did you receive info of this: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1mDmNmG3RjPLLdS0X749JyGtqmhpT3nYq06x_7kTRgLA/viewform
  15. Surely this isnt just localised to "Se22" but happens everywhere... unless there's proof of a targeted scam?

You are simply demonstrating your, and many others, lack of understanding of the plans, site AND history of all of this. I wonder how many people have caught on to another application to the site (15/AP/3994) for a free standing substation to be position right near housing - surely this should have considered on all the other plans?
  17. Fazer I'm not really sure what your beef is... I interpret differently - yes planning is a shambles but not for not wanting to create new homes. Do you really think adding a couple of new units in this instance will ease the pressure on demand for the housing we are repeatedly being told is high? It's not as is we're talking about a high rise block of flats. The issue here, as it's always been, is the over development of a site that is not suitable for the ideals M&S development have in mind. The planning department continue to fail to follow procedures (more so in the past), M&S are taking full advantage of this and many objectors to this proposal are hoping this will be dealt with properly.
  18. whose responsibility is it to ensure notification to those concerned has happened? Who isn't following procedures? :s
  19. And what is it exactly that the "WI" of today does?

And this has what to do with the flooding? I somehow doubt this is ark related... *shrugs*
  21. I'm curious on this one too... not that I'm considering upgrading only to know IF it really does make a difference
  22. Not particularly early... They tend to arrive before 8am, go for breakfast, back for 8am start which, to my ears/eyes, continues through to lunch *shrugs*

Yes the time taken to complete this is ridiculous but to say no work has been done is just wrong.
