  2. The issue with the lorries accessing the site is NOT as bad as is led to believe. The store/drivers AND neighbours are working hard together to find a workable solution. There are other outstanding issues however - such as delivery times and the number of deliveries received throughout the day. There are also questions over the permissions within the planning applications which are causing grumbles... with M&S passing everything over to their legal team this could go on for sometime!
  3. Was it not this one: "CONSIDERATION of APPLICATION FOR FULL PLANNING PERMISSION Application number: 15/AP/2221 Address: 84-90 LORDSHIP LANE, LONDON, SE22 8HF Proposal: Rooftop extension to provide x 2 residential units and walkway to rear of existing office/residential at 1st and 2nd floor; use of first and second floors as offices and refurbishment of the existing retail store at ground floor including a single storey rear extension with associated plant. It will be considered by the Council's Planning Sub-committee B which meets on: date 8 March, 2016 time 19:00 venue Council Offices, 160 Tooley Street, London SE1 2QH Recommended decision: Grant subject to Legal Agreement" ???

I wouldn't get your hopes up. The council (planning) continues to prove it's inability to right wrongs or even to follow their own procedures. As James points out... more public money wasted.
  5. I know what they are... but I'll hush ;-)

I'm confused - how does sitting on someone's wall eating chicken make it an "unsafe" area?

They're the ones being coy about it... My point was that anything could happen *throws arms in air*
  9. M&S don't "officially" take the site until the contract is signed at the end of the month. They could still potentially not take the site...
  10. Darn it now I've got this in my head (with silly voices!) I seen a peanut stand, heard a rubber band I seen a needle that winked its eye But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything When I see an elephant fly I seen a front porch swing, heard a diamond ring I seen a polka-dot railroad tie But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything When I see an elephant fly I saw a clothes horse, he r'ar up and buck And they tell me that a man made a vegetable truck I didn't see that, I only heard But just to be sociable, I'll take your word I heard a fireside chat, I saw a baseball bat And I just laughed till I thought I'd die But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything When I see an elephant fly *sighs*

Taking up the road and pedestrian walkway for the arrival of the fridges and other equipment was planned. Those directly effected were notified by the project lead from Wates.
  15. OMG OMG OMG ! So THAT's what it is... *sarcasm in abundance here* Sounds silly

Many a driver is pulled in to the office daily to explain a complaint that's come in from joe public either via TFL or the bus company itself. How do you expect changes to occur if you don't do anything to help it?
  20. It's just a food shop... why think it's anything more? *sighs

You can purchase "gentle grip" or non-elastic socks in lots of places these days which might help for future control :-)

Sorry, my fault for bringing the term "leering" into it all. Wasn't my intention to stoke the fire further.

Yes I am! At least he's up front in what he is after. Would you prefer the leering silent type? Each to their own!

Both these responses are what gets me grrrr! Are you both like those pathetic neo feminists who simply stir up trouble completely unnecessarily with silly comments/accusations of others being sexist and all that? Are you? You're comments are more offensive than anything else! You're sitting in the Lounge... serious topics of discussion don't always appear. Whether the OP is serious or taking the mick I really don't see how it's any different from declaring someone prefers big busted women, well endowed men OR even someone who prefers red wine over white!
