I guess anyone would have issues understanding anyone else opposing something until it effects them directly... That being said I doubt many who do object to planning applications, especially the ones you've identified, can be rightly accused of only objecting just for the sake of it (my interpretation of your points) or that they are afraid of "change".

I'm not overly convinced some people's version of events can be trusted ;-) To reminisce - Certainly some interesting nights from the drinks, more particularly in the earlier times, and lots of friendly faces.

Is it absolutely essential they be in your garden? I don't mean that in a "g'roff my land" way only they may have no other way to get to the areas needed. OR they may not think they're doing any harm... *shrugs*

An interesting not so old tweet describes the forum "it's like Munmsnet on crack". Blimey a little out there no?

It looked lovely but when it came to selling they realised they hadn't put the proper supports in so had to put everything back to as it was. If you already struggle with heating the rooms in the winter you'll find it even more chilly.

KalamityKel replied to Louisa's topic in The Lounge
Ah that's those "spikes" are called. Me being a bit dim thought they were just to stop people (not anyone in particular) sitting on the ledges... *shrugs* -

I do have a fair number of friends of both genders (20-35 kind of age bracket) doing the whole online dating thing and have done so for many years. Mixed reviews but it can't be too bad as they're still doing it... personally I'm not overly convinced but certainly don't have anything against the idea. It's the norm these days it would seem.

I think most important than having others feedback back on experiences would be for you to identify with yourself why you are considering such an avenue in the first place? What are your views on tattoos? I'm being serious... do you have a negative attitude to tattoos?
