My point being ppl who walk around like i said look stoopid. Just get that string thingamy or wear them on ya head when not using them... u know it makes sense ;-) In other news... nearly empty yet not quite enuff of a squeeze toof paste tubes
  2. Im aware of this but why wear them if you're not reading? I get easily scared ya know ;-)
  3. people who look over their glasses when walking around/talking to people
  4. An ad outside an offlicence... "We have beers as colds as... your ex's heart"

Especially if this is based on "security" as suggested by the intervention/recommendation of the police???
  7. ouch!
  8. You can't make people read. It's all pretty straight forward really but people still get it wrong. Have you tried telling these people that keep invading your inbox? You could be saving everyone time and bother ya know

Whenever I've purchased new cards online (and I have a fair number of them for the family) I've never gone to a train/tube station to activate it... just board the bus and touch in.
  11. 114 days to go... ;-)
  12. I assume you mean "The focus should be getting as many people SAFELY as possible on the buses" KK? We wouldn't want a repeat of those bendy bus thingamys now would we?! The empathsis is too much on speeding up the service to make it "quicker"? why? does 30 seconds (over generalising based on no statistical fact of course) saved each stop from potential cash fares really make much of a difference? What about the time taken when passengers ask for directions, take time when boarding either through disability, lots of shopping/luggage, pushchairs, wheelchair users with the ramp having to be used, over boarding of passengers? If anything these examples slow up the service yet are a necessary part of travel. To say banning cash fares would improve time by suggesting it's time consuming is unrealistic. To say also that it would be saving on admin is unrealistic. Surely more time and resources would be required to administer oyster card refunds and payment queries/issues.
  13. The only change they carry is the change they provide themselves not what the bus company provides. Bus companies stopped issuing tills some time ago
  14. Get them all the time... no mention of the house theyre offering for exchange, all seems a bit selfish to me *sigh* ;-)
  15. Saturday mornings :-|
  16. No
  17. Dulwich woods often produces lots of blackberries. You'll have to work a bit to reach the biggest and best though!
  18. I would! yes it's a public space but that doesn't mean you can hog a space that doesn't belong to you without prior consent from the park. Could you imagine if everyone took that view and erected tents, gazebos or those silly glamping style tents for their own personal use on the same day? There wouldn't be any space for people and the view... well! Contact the park and see what's what.

Was, whatever the comment, truly from a representative of Kingsdale or someone, yet again, stirring? OR someone who just is not too sure on procedures ie how to use this forum? Given past issues on here it would be easy to understand if there were confusion... Curmudgeon why make such comments?

TQ you can't take a comment from experience from a few years ago seriously (sorry James!) Sounds like you're hot on the active side by contacting establishments to find out what's what in advance... good for you!
  21. what annoys me most about name changers is the "sport" it creates for some forumites who take great delight in figuring out who the "new" person could possibly be and then brag to others (who don't really tend to care) who they are without sharing the information as if it makes them higher up on the social standing of the forum or as if they know a great secret or something. Like seriously! I just don't play the game :-) I've never changed my name on this forum but on other social platforms I am known to have a large wardrobe of dresses to choose from depending on my mood. Choosing the right name can be difficult especially when others adapt your name to however it suits them. For example, under this name I am not particularly fond of being called Kal or Kalam but that's what others choose to identify me as and who am I to argue as it is part of the name I have chosen after all and if I really objected to it I would either say (here does not count) or change it to something I am happy with. Other times, in other places, I may just not feel like wearing dress X but feel like wearing dress D and so use that one instead. I have never hidden who I was/am as I don't have anything to hide and really don't see the point in becoming even more anonymous than current online activities allow you to be, although saying that it can be an interesting experiment to see how other regular users respond to what would normally be a new user...
  22. surely that would equal more poo no?
