  4. According to southwark planning 120 odd people have been sent consultation letters/notification on 7th feb... anyone actually recieved anything? Ive not nor neighbours... James barber- you've gone rather quiet on the matter...
  5. Does it just work on hangovers or general rundown: /overworked/emotionally drained st!ttyness too? Now THAT would b a miracle cure!
  6. EDL - When you search planning applications on the Southwark Council website nothing else comes up for 106 Lordship Lane nor any indication of appeal which would appear on the original application.
  7. I would simply urge any forumite who are/will be effected by the proposals and objected to the last application - if you are still against the plans - to submit an objection to planning (or of course if you're in favour to say something too). You may have done so the last time but you need to do it again for this "new" application even if your concerns and comments are the same as before. It's very easy for those who don't live anywhere near to the site to fail to see the implications of the development as it is also easy to think you can't be bothered to go through it all again or think it's going to be passed by planning this time so there's no real point in doing anything - if you don't do anything then you'll only have yourselves to blame if it really does go through and you're not happy about it.
  8. with prettier pictures and colours on the plans :-|

  12. if it's not been "validated" how/why is it displayed on the website?

First mate the request was certainly submitted by residents of the street with the dark areas within the street the main focus of the request - in particular the alley ways, places where trees dominate the lighting area (blocking out light from the lamps). The street had been the target of several burglaries in a short space of time and it was felt that replacing lighting to slightly brighter than current would help act as future deterrent, hence the submitted request to the council. It is also currently noted that many residents would rather walk in the road which is better lit than the pavement not only to avoid the trip hazards from tree roots but to feel safer. I'm sure once the ball starts rolling with the implementation of the scheme and residents have been informed, that there will be an opportunity for input and discussion. This is/was, after all, based simply on an initial request for work to be done from a completed and submitted form from residents.
  14. Interesting... who are the 124 neighbours that have been consulted? No one in the vicinity that's for sure! "Neighbours consulted on planning application 14/AP/0280 This page shows neighbours and local groups who have been consulted on the application. For details of how to comment on the application please click here. Application Details Documents Consultation Click here for statutory and internal consultees Total number of neighbours consulted: 124 Consultation Letter Sent Neighbour"
  15. LN I think Otta was just generalising... You'd be surprised for a relatively "dead" forum that is WDF in comparison to here how many of those on this forum are also over on that one and not just in the names they use here.

  17. James, whilst not a ED or ward issue this does effect all Southwark residents... There's rumours of the Lister drop in centre closing could you confirm either way? Would be interesting to know your views.
  18. so choc aint a food eh? ... can't be bad then :))
  19. so you haven't reported these nuisance (NOT malicious) calls at all? The police can approach the woman and go through various things especially establishing if she's ok and all that. I would have thought it being more responsible to report it than to ignore it - just say, in whatever confused state she may get herself into, there's one time when she really does need help and you aren't able to distinguish between normal calls and not normal calls? Having official awareness could make the difference. OR if you really don't want to get involved then have the number blocked on your phone.

  21. I'm more confused with marshmellows... what's the deal!?!
  22. Tomdhu have you considered contacting the police? Surely this is the more mature approach rather than having a quite unnecessary cat fight on here (as it's sooo not as entertaining as you seem to think it is)?

Now now no need to throw "you clearly don't use the route" comment at me. Yes I do thank you very much. It's only for a short time for goodness sake! Yes it's an inconvenience but hardly the end of the world. If you didn't have the luxury of a bus route in that area you wouldn't be soft in thinking on such dependence. Surely it is good road works are happening to improve the area and prevent possibly longer term issues which, god forbid, could result in the route being affected for much longer. PeckhamRye I appreciate the grumble of being soaked through after a long days work and then find the route is disrupted - happens to us all- although I think disappointment rather than inconvenience is more apt here :-)

  25. Why would shutters help? Planes fly overhead no?
