KalamityKel replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
What? -
Malumbu I still fail to see the purpose of this thread except perhaps to stir "racist" b'lox.. which is worse?

Heads up - Interesting threads in the main section
KalamityKel replied to Keef's topic in The Lounge
Never seen such deadly teeth holding on... *sighs* I feel slightly disappointed. Perhaps if it were a less likely subject/person involved... perhaps -
A bit concerned with the "expirement" :s I mean no need to depose of these people you seek. What's the purpose of your quest?

You can assume but you can't predict with any accuracy at all. I wish that would be realised. *sighs* And this silly business of free car clubs** - doesn't that usually apply to the new development and for just 3 years? What about the residents and what happens after 3 years? Everything is then stuck as it is. I'm not complaining on this development just saying it how it is across the board. More and more "essential" housing is being introduced. Less and less space is left. ETA** how many car clubs are there in the area? -

Go look at Oxford Street for > example. Walworth Road can be similar. I think you seriously need to open your eyes a little, a tiny stretch over long routes that you feel are "empty" does not justify cancelling or altering the route. What time of day are you making this judgment? I travel at all times of day/evening and find those routes well used. Go find yourself some proper statistics before coming out with that kind of rubbish. You are, perhaps, suggesting a cut in the middle of a route - how do you suggest commuters needing to travel the whole destination make their journey with the bit you'd cut? If the tube was available you can't assume everyone would want to or indeed should use the tube. Fail cle. -
It's also not a particular "new" thing... *yawns*

Ah the day when people walked to places, did small regular shopping trips, planned their lives better... *sighs* ;-)

So we're all happy for ANOTHER change of use application to ANOTHER restaurant on Lordship Lane? Really?

hahahahahahahaha LICE! of all things!

A while back some neighbours of our put their bins out, not even right by theirs but as near as they could, with a note kindly asking not to move the bins as space might be needed for the midwife in the next few hours... a local estate agent decided sod that and took the space. Now THAT is selfish on the bin movers part. I think if people are wanting to keep a space for say services, deliveries, removals, a skip etc fine but put a note on whatever device used to "reserve" the space if its a must. I understand your frustration louisa and im not a driver or car owner. Sadly it's people who take advantage of the whole space hogging thing that makes others feel infuriated resulting in them moving bins and such to park their cars AND often it's not even people who live in the street that do it! *now thinking about the idiots who shunt cars in front and behind so they can squeeze their car into that teeny so not big enough space*

depends if your a newbie (post 1995s) or an original don't it ;-)

I suppose it depends on what kind of pancake you're wanting to purchase/consume... a bulk produced (the likes of the big supermarkets) or something a little fresher and more personal (the likes that could be possibily found in a cake type shop/tea shop style thingamy)... ???

I dont get the point at all. Malumbu you say this is all a time ago... so what relevance is this to todays' world?

Do not even consider sand! You wouldnt let children throw sand so why would you?! Sand can easily get in eyes. Its simply cruel! Using a water spray is a good method. Constant reassurance to your own cats is a must. Itll boost their confidence especially if you're in the outside space at the same time the aggressive cat is. We have a lot of cats come through our garden some that get along others do not. Most of it is territorial and a lot of the noises you hear are much worse than what it really is.
-
Why take it to Battersea? IF you do catch it - and I can only think you'd sensibly only do this if the animal looks to be neglected or in distress and not just because the feline is a nuisance to you and yours - you'd be better off taking it to a local vets where they can check whether said feline is chipped, whether it's reported missing etc. keeping it in the neighbourhood rather than handing over as a missing pet to be rehomed. Have you tried to approach the cat? How does it respond? Have you tried to deter the cat from your garden and intervene when it's "terrorising" your own cats? What is it actually doing to "terrorise"? You don't know the circumstances surrounding your visitor and I think trying to catch it is a little drastic. Think how you might respond/feel is your cats were reported to be acting this way?

Overall this does not > look reflect well on the Council. That, I was under the impression, applied to postal submissions. All of Chesterfield Grove "should" have been notified or at least those that submitted comments the last time round. Although saying that, last time the only reason the whole street was notified was due to a resident physically posting the notice through the doors themselves so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it hasn't been done yet. It is certainly disappointing the planning department aren't more active or at least our councilors pushing for a bit more action to be done. Consistency all round is questionable.
