Once Electric vehicles become the norm and cycling "Electric Cycling too" expands there will be no other option. And once that happens the vast majority of vehicles will run quietly and efficiently so few will care about noise and the extra mileage where safety and speed flow will what is required. But that will be after spending billions on pointless changes like this nonsense ... It's only a matter of time before 1 and 2 one way option happens. Until then the morons that be will put us and our childrens lives at risk whilst making changes to anything and everything which is not broken !
  2. Yea right let's tell them... What few people understand is change for the sake of change is about keeping people busy spending our tax money on nonsense which is not required. It often results in deaths whilst the changes are implemented. If anyone remembers the tragic death of a young girl at the peckham rye junction a year or so ago which was due to the temporary traffic management system implemented whilst the junction was overhauled and other utility work was carried out. Let's pray this nonsense doesn't result in a similar incident. Unfortunately I fear the worst.. If it's not broken why fix it.... Especially as the fixing has the potential to cause loss of life!
  3. If This is to be done properly then. 1 Make EVERY road one way for cars with one LH lane for cars. 2 Make the other lane two way for Bikes etc . Any other option is a waste of money because we will end up with 1 and 2 going with these piece meal changes will be a waste of millions to eventually arrive at 1 and 2. One way system a la 1 and 2 above is the only solution .... If that's is what they want ? BEST do IT NOW !!!!! A little like me editing my post 100 times .... All this nonsense will drive us mad ...
  4. Utter twaddle what a complete total waste of OUR money. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BONKERS ! ?200,000 down the toilet !
  5. Is the junction actually broken? Ie if not why does it require a fix... Bizarre....
  6. Ah James I like it. But when you're dealing with Southwark Turkeys it's a waste of time they will always vote for Christmas. ;)
  7. Just seen the flyer through my letter box. Looks like madness. The usual Southwark staff trying to keep themselves busy and in a job whilst making Southwark residents lives a misery.
  8. Agreed with the exception you're being unfair to arseholes. The Estate are beyond common sense and comprehension. Even calling them morons would be unfair to morons. :(
  9. The new build houses at the bottom of Court Lane near the Village are a planning disgrace! The Dulwich Estate doesn't allow velux windows to the front of houses, yet they allow these monstrosities to be built and overshadow the adjoining Edwardian houses. Dulwich Estate are an absolute Joke :(

Errr yes absolutely. Have a good listen...
  11. James thanks for that. I still believe that 90% of the aircraft noise we suffer comes from Heathrow bound aircraft. City Airport flights are currently far quieter and way less frequent. Proof of this is evident when following live satellite flight data. Heathrow is THE problem! We must not get sidetracked by city airport. !
  12. The city flights are way less intrusive smaller aircraft which fly over faster and less frequently. Heathrow is the problem big lumbering whistling jets every 2 mins 40 seconds whining and groaning droning constantly one after the other on the same path. From 4.30 am.
  13. hpsaucey It's a simple case of moronics. 1. The urge to comment on a thread with meaningless irrelevant statements. 2. An urge to tell others how they should think, what they should how they should feel and what they should be saying / doing. 3. A lack of understanding of other people issues and problems. 4. A complete failure in common sense. 5. A desire to be seen as important or funny by making fun of others problems or simply belittling others points of views or issue concerns etc. 6. An inflated sense of their own importance vs other. 7. A moronic Ego. 8. A dead area of the brain which blocks logical thought. moronics is a growing problem Artful has a bad case which has been developed over many years through a combination of genetics reading online illogical drivel and having lived in a fantasy online community where the members are unwilling incapable or unable "due to also being morons" to correct moronic comments / posts. moronics is difficult fix, as it become embedded in the ego the sufferer is unable to see it makes them look foolish and stupid. And we all suffer the constant nonsense it causes.
  14. Ah I'm back in ED and yep still droooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ing aircraft . :(

Agreed. In my eyes it's so ugly and lacking in any charm or beauty it really makes me feel quite sad.

  18. Recording taken this afternoon near Dulwich Library. Volume isn't precise it's not actually as loud as the recording but it gives an idea. And that particular Aircraft was faster than most.
  19. Tried white noise etc doesn't work. The shrill sound of Airbus aircraft cuts through everything. : (
  20. Yep Anything of value MUST be secured with a heavy duty locking system ....
  21. The Dulwich Estate only care about keeping themselves busy and screwing as much money as they can out of the Estate to pay their wages and give to the charity. That's the reality. Enlightenment lol ...
