Not at all, we need a sit down before the feast. We met up successfully at the EDT and then eight of us then made our way to Dulwich Tandoori where we were greeted like old friends. It was good to be back together after the extended Summer break, much catching up was needed. There was a big welcome to our newbie - evea - who fitted right in and I think enjoyed the lively, erudite and witty conversation :) The food was excellent, a complementary spicy salad, then poppadoms, starters and main course with sundry beers and wine. This was finished with complementary port and digestifs. ?25 a head, seemed most reasonable. Do we fancy a December/ Christmas meeting? Perhaps December the 7th or 14th?

I went into the Mind shop today, big bag of clothes, two boxes of hard back novels. Same story, took the clothes, somewhat grudgingly, refused the books. Left feeling somewhat peeved at what has become a picky charity shop. Any ideas where I can take my books?

M&S do a good range of curry mixes. A sort of triangular box contains one packet of dry spices, one small jar of paste, one jar of sauce. With instructions. I tried the madras one a couple of days ago. I used lamb and added a chopped onion, two medium aubergines (sliced and fried beforehand) a can of coconut milk, a can of chopped toms, two cans of chick peas and a chopped bunch of coriander. Its quite a wet mix to be begin with, but allow to simmer for between 60 and 90 minutes and it will be lovely.
