Isn't this from the same nut putting up similar fly-posts around the area? I've seen a few posted up near ED station
-
One downside is the SeanMacGabhann-heavily-used-extra-space at the back of the top deck is now a regular boxed in seat - but given the extra leg-room Brendan mentions, it's all good

Flyposting and the community

Many many people have gone through the same process.. Just recently I had a heated argument with someone who wouldn't have it that there was more than one They do get used tho' although I haven't seen a positive review yet -

I'll start comparing BBC adverts to commercial channels when BBC interrup programmes several times to show them.. until then they are promo material outside shows and I don't mind it as much Flyposting generally - it doesn't bother me too much at present. Not even that scary man using Courier typeface and his end of civilisation ones... And I agree with PR - if you are walking past one that is out of date just chuck it in a bin -

Sorry quids - i wasn't clear. I'm not talking about you, or peolpe who have been victims of the over-zealous parking attendants or anyone who has been wrongfully prosecuted. It was more the sometimes accepted-wisdom of "i can speed a BIT if I want to and it's only the council making revenue that is stopping me going about my business" ie - disconnect between one's actions and how they are perceived. Ok it's not an exact fit but there is something there -

Watching slimpebags slither can be good fun, but the BNP can only benefit if people lose perspective and just give in to anger for it's own sake If you don't think most people are "at it" in some form or other then who am I to say you don't know what you are thinking - but the evidence of everyday conversation and listening to people suggests otherwise. Just taking the parking fine/speeding regulars - instead of paying up for behavingillegaly they think it is their right to not pay. As for "too cool for disgust" - well feeling disgust is one thing, giving continual vent to it and anger are another. It's not about being cool - it's about keeping a clear head -

Is ED about to experience another property boom?
SeanMacGabhann replied to Emily's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Do many people take out a mortgage for 25 years and then 25 years later pay it off to live rent/mortage free? That's the sensible thing but these days I thought people kept upgrading/stretching the next mortgage/releasing equity -

"People who pay taxes, haven't got expense accounts and are finding things tough are below contempt to the metropolitan elite of SE22, who are about as out of touch as Oliver Letwin's Tennis court repairs. Posturing "above the masses" crap." Quids, who is that aimed at? Never mind any valid points you have you are turning into Jon Gaunt and I doubt even you like him. Your taste for polemic is undermining your point So I too pay my taxes, haven't got an expense account and am finding things tough. So how am I below contempt of the metropolitan elite? It's a meaningless phrase anyway, used by snakeoil salesmen, hoky folksy politicians in the US and Ayn Rand disciples. Where is the posturing? If anyone is posturing it is anyone who says "oh if I was a politician for the last 10 years my hands would be clean". That is such blatant hypocritcal bullshit for 95% of people Who is invoking "the masses"? Why undermine the basic point that a bad, albeit legal system has been laid bare, it's now going to change. What else is there? Being continuously angry, poring over the papers every day ultimately becomes as grubby and dehumanising as the MPs grubbing up more cash. Feelings are real and they are true - but they aren't always right If people are ill-paid for their job and if the economy makes that job precarious, the tax money involved in this makes not a jot of difference. If MPs were paid appropriately and all expenses scrapped not one single "normal" person would benefit. Before the minimum wage was introduced, business owners could legally pay shillings to workers and when they were told that system was coming to an end we heard the same howls of indignation as we are hearing from MPs - but just fix the problem. There is little point backdating anger. No-one made the business leaders backdate the minimum wage to all of their employees for the years spent there even tho it was patently wrong -
It was with a chuckle I remembered flipbrit posting in another thread And he isn't always the one commiting crimes, sometimes he gets upset at others parking incorrectly http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,230506,230506#msg-230506 of course, when you look at the language "bang bang bye bye", "in my [country]", and his opinion about OTHER lawbreakers the picture darkens a little

Ah, when one thread about this expenses fiasco just isn't enough So yes, let's go down this road AFN and have what? Where in the world is showing us the way forward? Or have you, an insignificant nobody (like most of us) in South East London found The Answer??? The expenses system is out of order but some perspective please. Most people in this world would kill (and do) for a system as fair as ours. This self-induced, masturbatory hysteria is a decadent luxury most people can't afford. The expenses system needs fixing. Fix it. And get about your day -
Quids - you know from my earlier responses on this thread that I'll be glad to see the system reformed But eye-popping outrage? Not really. Yes it's our money but every penny of their wage is our money. I know lots of people who work bloody hard as well and don't earn a fraction of a middle-paid MP. So if these expenses didn't exist at all should I demand that the MP salary be reduced to 16k? (rhetorical question btw)
-
Or they could de-interface their arse from their sofa, their digits from their keyboard and actually put themselves up for election... It's money for old rope apparently
-
Lot's of people saying they would like the perks Lot's of people saying they would do a better job ... I think I see a way forward people
-
Andy - fret not. Presumably you know where Chili Pepper Pete lives?? ChilliPepperPete And you can pay by Paypal which isn't even real money!!!

Yep, and everyone I know who sent to MS said they were surprisingly impressed at the turnaround But having been a Sony boy since PS1 I am not giving up a 360 in my room for anything - best console I have ever owned. What's your Live profile ID Cooper?
-
"I never thought I'd miss that wailing, jug-eared chimp.." marvellous Cooper: Sorry to hear about your RRoD - been there myself etc. I don't think many companies will touch secondhand goods tho. The newer 360s are much more reliable and my HDMI arcade model has been rock solid for nearly 2 years (touch wood etc)

I'm loving the publicly declared refutation of Veronica Wadeley's editorship... but I haven't seen much in the way of actual difference yet

I think people who pick up other people's litter ARE doing someone else an ungodly favour Why can't people go along to something like this and just be a bit.. tidyier?
