So... what's the best pie filling?

True, but that didn't help William much, did it?

  4. It's a good job she's not from the nobility, the royal family probably need to expand their gene pool a little bit.

It might be. Or it might be about making bacon sandwiches in a well-known wine bar on Lordship Lane. The nuclear bunker idea is another possibility though.

I'm still absolutely sick of seeing her on TV though.
  7. Maybe it's best to try and find a running partner now it's dark in the evenings. Especially women, who are often seen as easier targets.
  8. I can see how that could work, it would basically fry in it's own fat.
  9. Could you cook the bacon off-site and keep it warm in one of those "range" thingies?
  10. In a tumble dryer.

Not to mention the fact that we're not comparing like-with-like. If we put up a border around London and turned it into a totalitarian state, I dare say we'd also have low taxes.
  12. I flew on American Airlines, and as others have said. the plane was ancient and the entertainment was totally sub-standard. I could have been unlucky though, and it was around 3 years ago now.
  13. ataubin, I hate the predatory nature of parking enforcement as much as anyone, and have contested a few tickets in my time. But if you really were in breach of the rules, I think you'll have to admit defeat this time, and put it down to experience.
  14. Welterweight would make sense for Manny vs Floyd, but you never know with those two. It would probably be 149.5lb as of 5:51pm the day of the fight. I'm 100% positive than Pacquiao would still have hammered Margarito at the 154lb limit, so why the catchweight? I just don't get it! [ as for the Haye fight... hope you guys had a good time at the CPT, but I deliberately stayed away, it struck me as a waste of time all along ]
  15. Yes, Pacquiao's acheivements are very impressive, I already had him down as the best p4p fighter around. BUT - I wish he'd stop stipulating catchweights. If you want the light-middleweight title, fight at 154lb, NOT 150lb. He's not a genuine light-middleweight champ in my eyes.
  16. All round to Marmora Man's on Sunday...
  17. It also clashes with EDF drinks... poor ST&NLY!!
  18. SMG is right, I know it seems like we're taxed to the hilt sometimes, but our tax is not really high by european standards. Of course I don't *want* to pay more tax, but with all the cuts going on, meeting somewhere in the middle wouldn't seem too unfair...

Yep, but it's not enforced. I always just read the code out to the cashier.
  20. In theory I like the idea of giving the long-term unemployed some work to do. But it needs to be thought out properly, make use of their skills (or teach new ones), benefit society, and allow a certain amount of dignity. It wouldn't be right to force the unemployed to do only the most menial, unpleasant, humiliating jobs which the rest of us choose not to do.
  21. Skynet is already live! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skynet_(satellites) Fortunately it has not yet become self-aware.
  22. Actually I think that if threads like this keep people alert and prompt people to beef up their home security, it's probably a good thing. My comment about "the correlation between active EDF members and posts about burglaries" was just meant to illustrate that the more members we have, the more reports we'll hear. If we could draw a graph, it would probably be a 45 degree line. So although it's good to alert people, there's no evidence we have a crimewave on our hands.

That depends... can we formalise ethics as a set of logical rules? I think we probably can. But why would we want to do that?
  25. Cooking oil doesn't solidify, does it?
