  10. Just to carry this thread on a little - With the clocks changing my son cycled through the park just after 5pm and said it was pitch black...very little lighting along the main pathway...was really surprised....I understand the whole park can't be lit up but thought the paths would be...do you think the aim is to deter people in there after dark (which is understandable but then they might as well lock it earlier?)....
  11. Thanks smashing....I know it does usually just wondered if there was a diversion on at the moment...
  12. Sorry, does anyone know if the P13 is running from sainsburys to new cross at the moment...tfl journey planner keeps saying I should walk to Coplestone rd?....

  14. Our son suddenly started wetting the bed and on referral we were asked 'does he go to the loo before bed' - I proudly replied that I always asked him if needed the loo......but there is a big difference.....don't ask him if he needs it but make sure he actually has a wee....often their bladder needs emptying before bed but they will not feel like they need a wee at bedtime.....sorry pm if this doesn't make sense trying to write in shorthand as school pick up time!

  16. If you're raring to go this morning, the very experienced Luisa (who also teaches at the Laban Centre for Dance) has a class you could join this morning, Friday, 10am at The Goose Green Clinic. A drop-in taster is ?10 and then you pay in blocks. Ami also has a Pilates class on Monday evening at 8.15pm (First class ?6). Their phone number is 02 08 693 3047.

  20. Just came across a great book in the charity shop that I think is going to be a game changer in my relationship with my 11yr old.....Something made me pick it up as I felt us locking horns for no reason at all....the teenage years seem to be racing towards us and I now feel I have the understanding to pull back and feel relief I learnt this stuff early on...thought it might be useful for others... 'Get Out Of My Life but first take me and Alex into town' Tony Wolf and Suzanne Franks
  21. Jelly bellies do classes that the babies can go along with at The Goose Green Clinic....Not sure of days but a couple of days in the week and a Sunday class I think....
  22. Probably too late for what you are looking for but may help with interim support, I have just had a leaflet through my door about myhometouch.com which looks a great way to get a local, vetted carer. I don't need these services yet but found it reassuring to see a website/company like this developing. It looks very professional and makes it easier to match carers with a families needs.
  23. But let's just enjoy the small breathing space....
