  1. Yes, agreed...reckon the toddler will cope/sleep through noise....and so will you...except maybe early morning!
  2. Osteopathic centre for children in Wandsworth

  5. Amanda, the lights face onto the area that will be behind the fence, there is no lighting on the actual path area...
  6. They are right now putting a solid fence along the back....making a thin pathway on a major walkway from Bessemer Grange School.....means the path will be without street lighting in an area already highlighted for potential crime....These people are mean....winding up the local community...crap public relations....all these primary kids wondering what's going on....'oh just the mean developers from Meadow wanting to build on your park, put up fences and in the process of kicking out your local football team'.....hopefully it will feed into their wider education...
  7. You will already be on the waiting list for your 1st,2nd and 3rd choice....
  8. I know it's a bit specific but it is the one thing my 8yr old wants for his birthday...to eat out for a chocolate brownie....he had one at The Great Exhibition once and it has happy memories for him! Not sure they do them anymore... Any pointers very welcome!!....
  9. I do not have direct experience but have only heard good things. It went from bottom of our list with our first to second this year as my middle son really liked it, especially the sports department (very encouraging to all not just the 'sporty' ones) and we knew people who had had good experiences all round.
  10. No tips but would love to hear how it goes....we don't have a car but I would love to take the kids on a similar trip...
  11. Thank you :) Might go for the Astronaut one...if he doesn't read it, I'd like to know about peeing in space!..oh dear just realised it's not just peeing is it!!! Will look at the Brian Cox ones too....Any good memoirs out there suitable?
  12. Any ideas? He enjoys fiction but doesn't get the point of reading books for facts?! Call me old fashioned.... Thanks...
  13. Where are you? Are you sure they weren't just fireworks?
  14. I would get them some ready made meals for the freezer (see Cook) and 'vouchers' that you'll look after babies for X number of hours/times....if it stretches then a massage voucher....maybe membership to the local twins club....or ?100 to spend at the local twins club sale (will get more and needed stuff that way)....
  15. Well done to the m&s staff.....they have opened shop and working hard to get delivery out....must be really shaken but still giving great service.....hope they get a lovely Christmas tomorrow.....and the company appreciate them X (Anyone wanting to complain/moan....get a grip!)
  16. The Albrighton Centre just opposite the big Sainsburys on Dog Kennel Hill run a Community Fridge. Food Donations are available for anyone who needs them and they are always happy to take donations of food, fresh and dry from individuals and businesses....If you are wanting to donate locally please just drop the stuff in - there is usually someone on their reception desk. Food can be taken up to 1pm tomorrow and then re-opens again on 9th January. Anyone who has contacts in local businesses please encourage them to pass their unused food to the fridge regularly (it is open throughout the year)..... They are also always looking to fundraise for the scheme so anyone wanting to support it please contact Steve or Jackie at the Centre. They are doing fantastic work directly with those who need extra support - I for one didn't know where I could donate locally - now we all do! Merry Christmas!
