  1. Who will be paying for the clean-up? This city is fast becoming a cess-pit!
  2. I saw the same bird (?) in Ruskin Park this morning. I heard it calling and did not recognise the sound so I looked for it. I would have tried to coax it but I had no suitable container- apparently they are not very good fliers...
  3. Try the classics- Wind in the Willows, Treasure Island...
  4. It looks as if the school has targeted specific events on two occasions. This is not unusual and it serves to send a message to other students. All the punishments should have been explained to you after the first meeting with the Head or Head of Year- that is what usually happens
  5. https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/residents-want-answers-future-dulwichs-old-grove-tavern/ From last November
  6. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1372432 so sash window locks do not stop them
  7. I would relate a hilarious example of being ignored in one of those sports shop chains but RH will accuse me of lying...it was not me personally being ignored but someone else
  8. If you are in a bus lane for a very short time, as the op was, and there is NO traffic in it, i.e. taxis, bikes, buses etc you are not causing an obstruction and they should not fine you imho. If you do cause an obstruction in the bus lane then you should definitely expect the fine. 2 reps from Southwark is ott but given they have so much rental debt to make up it is not surprising

From Renata- ', the amount of payment to the Council by We are the Fair can't be revealed. The payment for the event is going towards funding free public events in the Southwark Parks.' Surely council finances- ALL council finances are public domain....
  10. it is probable that the garden is the responsibility of the tenants which is why the landlord will not act-until the tenants leave then he will get them to clear the garden. You could get advice from the council but you may have to just deal with your boundary- or speak to the tenants yourself

Khans excuse for allowing the puerile baby trump to fly- 'it's not my role to be a censor'....what a hypocrite after he banned all bikini ads on the underground within weeks of taking office! It's a pity all you naysayers do not read what Trump has achieved whilst in office......still you lot never did like the truth

  13. cold water on the face and forearms then stand in front of a fan...remember though-water and electricity are a lethal combination
  14. I remember looking dag up years ago when Neighbours was on...one of the cast said something was 'daggy'...the BBC didn't pick it up as they should have- since it aired when children were watching- still-I remember phoning the BBC about Top of the Pops as my 11 year old was watching nothing short of simulated sex during a song...
  15. I had NEVER had a 'you've had an accident' call at all until I was the next of kin for someone in intensive care and I wrote my mobile number in their contacts book...the calls began soon after.....no prizes for guessing!
  16. This happened- not in this area -but fairly recently. A relative was spat at and she chased the spitter and found her getting into a car. The reg was passed to the cops and they tried to follow it up but did not find the spitter at home (where the car was registered)on 2 occasions so they visited my relative and told her and left a piece of paper with details on it..... p.s for the benefit of rh it is the absolute truth
  17. 'We wuz robbed'....as they used to say (regardless) back in the 1970s when I last showed any interest in footie!
  18. what is the point of trackers if not to TRACK down your stuff. Also buying stolen property is handling stolen goods surely- and is therefore a crime.....
  19. you would probably be in trouble if you drank out of the bottle and then re-used it without rinsing it out and thoroughly washing the neck where your mouth had been- there would be a build-up of bacteria in warm temperatures but if you are fastidious you can re-use the bottle for at least 2 weeks- I do. Think similar hygiene to baby bottles!
  20. I would gladly swap your dog barking for the never-ending racket of power tools in my area.....including 8.45 on Sunday night from a totally selfish twat in his front garden
  21. Maybe NOW things may get done...(although really it is OUR personal responsibility imo) https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/07/03/first-death-linked-air-pollution-government-asthma-advisor-finds/
  22. whenever I've been to an outdoor festival there have always been water points in a couple of places if people are desperate....
  23. Armed Forces Day today...
