I think these useless people get jobs through mates. I am convinced of this after Tessa Jowell used her friend Anthony Gormless's horrible lumps of metal around this area. And sticking statues of men on the beach, and the Angel of the North....yuk....what is wrong with Nature in the natural state... The stone outside UCLH https://www.ft.com/content/8e10bb3c-a7d1-11e4-be63-00144feab7de I had occasion to visit someone there on and off for 2 years for 3 or 4 weeks at a time after that was placed and I can say that ALL the patients I saw were outside the back entrance having a fag....wheeled drip stands alongside them (metal sculptures in themselves- and they are difficult to get in some hospitals)

Given the nebulous nature of black and white magic I bet some of them have inadvertently practised both.

uncleglen replied to Chick's topic in The Lounge
The average man produces about 500 billion sperm in a lifetime. Population of the world is about 7.5 billion- these people are seriously nuts(!) Onanism anyone- harking back to the Book of Genesis... -

Beware phone stolen tonight on Lordship Lane

Maybe because they haven't been victims. My son had his mobile grabbed in Camberwell a few years ago. He gave chase and fell over. His hand was very badly scratched by the thief and he damaged both knees....so yes the bleeding hearts aer responsible for the awful crime imo because they will apologise for them while the crims are laughing at us and p*ssing all over us. -
Trees, reindeer etc Of course it's too soon- it's not even December....

My relative has worked for an estate agent in east London -where there are many JAMs- for years and she is appalled by the attitude of landlords and the extent to which smallish homes have been divided up over the past 10 years into multiple occupancy -so greedy landlords -yes they are

Sexual harassment....in my first school (not a million miles away from here) one of my female colleagues kept a year 8 boy behind for detention and he got his out in front of her...she ran from the room and locked him in and got a senior member of staff. There is evidence to suggest that if they get away with minor sexual harassment/assault then they will escalate....(the police told me that)

Everyone should read E.M. Forster's short story 'The Machine Stops' and I was pondering this... The hippocampus in the brain is concerned with spatial awareness and consolidating short term memories into long term ones- linking them to emotions. If we stop using it for spatial problems (already the use of satnavs is making it redundant for finding our way) will it shrink, or fail to develop fully? Scary thought.....Shanks' Pony is looking very attractive.... As for Cornwall- it is driving across from here to the outskirts of London that is getting worse by the day. I went there and started out from Maidenhead and it makes an enormous difference.

I don't see as how we are in a political mess- just more remoaner doom-mongering....the government is playing its cards close to its chest because there is 40 years of EU nonsense to plough through and there is no-one in a position to definitively point the direction from ANY party. All this is going to take a lot of time and there are impatient fools out there- act in haste, repent at leisure

This will benefit other areas outside of London as people will look further afield if they are renting. London has destroyed itself with the help of greedy landlords who have been allowed to flourish at the expense of the children of Londoners. All that has happened in the past 15 years is that, for one thing, the business of care for the elderly in their own homes has increased exponentially because young people have moved away in order to buy. That in turn has pushed up prices in other areas so that their children cannot afford to stay in the area....and so it goes on- so much for free movement

ILEA run > schools were always beacons of fantastic pupil > discipline of course before evil academies blah > blah blah I was alluding to this... Generally teachers think academies are not 'good'. Singalto's 'tone' when mentioning Lord Harris seemed to me to be sarcastic but ???? got there first.

Baron Harris of Peckham is probably very well aware of what the boys are doing in public- since he used to be one himself. Taking schools out of local authority control when the politics of the council is not the same as central government is the only way to go impo

Crown House is now being sold - 1 bed flats at over ?400,000- and that used to be the local Southwark Council housing office so maybe the local councils are contributing to the building

....dismal Autumn statement ...dismal future
uncleglen replied to Lordship 516's topic in The Lounge
There is no way the people of Europe could work out the 'problems' when most of the people are out for themselves- (look at how the tax-evading/fiddling people-including the tax-collectors themselves- of Greece behaved)including the 750 MEPs and all the rest of the Kafka-esque bureaucracy machine. This is the FTs take prior to the referendum https://www.ft.com/content/8e10bb3c-a7d1-11e4-be63-00144feab7de -
Proposed 10km new double yellow lines across Dulwich
uncleglen replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I often walk down North Cross Road and am now paying attention to the parking as there are yellow lines on the junctions down there. There was a large van parked on the double yellows on Ulverscroft - and I looked on Googlemaps because I can never remember which is Fellbrigg and which is Ulverscroft- and lo and behold there is a white van parked on the double yellow in streetview! So they can paint as many yellow lines as they like but it will not make any difference unless they police it.....
