It's 'a prelude TO...' and it's pursuing (unless you meant 'perusing'?)

    Christmas

be careful what you wish for... https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2008/oct/29/weather-london
  3. Nut roast and pork....
  4. Just goes to show that the people who benefit most from the EU- cheap builders for their endless extensions etc, cheap cleaners and childcare, rocketing property values, practically guaranteed higher rents and occupancies for landlords, will shop at the more expensive shops for their smoked salmon and caviar.....
  5. On top of the North Greenwich Station incident on Thursday (coinciding with the Nickleback gig at the O2) this was a bit of a worry- tear gas though...?
  6. We have paid the yanks back- 2006 was the last payment- Germany still owes 280 million Euro
  7. Must sign up to one of these http://www.londonschoolofcoffee.com/courses
  8. Lordship keeps changing his tune because there are too many variables and his punch line is always a massive dig at the Brexit situation.....
  9. don't forget Khan is going to target owners of older cars inside the North and South Circulars- to offset the pollution from aircraft and construction dust I reckon.....
  10. Still doesn't tackle the particulate pollution from construction or, increasingly in this area, people burning logs....Lots more rain is what we really need
  11. some parts of Stockwell are very salubrious...
  12. I too have almost crashed into cars coming up on the left even though I am indicating- at least they will be fined now. Although, other than during the morning rush hour, it is obviously a money-making scheme by the bleep council
  13. you can edit it yourself- must say the orange is a bit weird should've been straight up red There are so many building works going on you never know who might try it on. Check their ID
  14. Remember- every single new flat has to have it's own mains supply- therefore the water has to be pumped harder, the old mains give way......been happening around here for at least 10 years
  15. That 'comedy' program hosted by Daragh O'Braian is mainly unfunny- where they all go on and do a few jokes on a topic- I know it's supposed to be spontaneous but it shouldn't be...they need to rehearse just like everyone else. Matthew Wright tries to be funny but he is just rubbish
  16. Probably in the morning on the station platform as they all traipse up to their well-paid jobs at 7pm!
  17. Independent Schools do their bit for the tax payer...http://www.isc.co.uk/about-isc/school-charities-and-tax/
  18. definitely when it's Jimmy Carr
  19. Well deserved - It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)- for example "..That he not busy being born, is busy dying..." Dylan is the most honest of poets https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=it%27s+alright+ma+(i%27m+only+bleeding)+lyrics
  20. Unfortunately many of these privately over-educated, verbose know nothings do not want the great unwashed having the same opportunities as they had because then they probably won't get their votes- although the brexit vote was a kick in the teeth for them. The comprehensive system has created an underclass on benefits because bright students in some schools hide their lights under bushels for fear of bullying. Young people who are not academically inclined (or have not had support at home due to their parents being 'educated' under Labour) cannot even get fairly well-paid building labouring jobs now due to free movement- so you get clever (and I have seen this) year 9 girls who just want a baby when they leave school- or younger-like their own mothers.(educate a woman and you educate a generation- Brigham Young) remember it was Tony Crosland, Labour , educated at Charterhouse- (so what the feck did he know?) who started the wholesale destruction of grammar schools and the reliance we now have on educated people from the developing world to fill specialist posts- thereby depriving the developing world of its brightest!

    Crutches

They should make them out of wood and leather like they used to....
  22. it is well known that scrap metal collection is a lucrative business...
  23. No-one was ever told travellers children were going to be in their class so there was no contingency plans. I only found out about the children turning up because I had to report one for persistent bad behaviour, failure to do any work, and attitude to other students. In a year 11 class there was a pupil whose parents were market traders and he was absent due to the Xmas rush. The school would not tolerate his absence, but the travellers' have special consideration on absence. The graphs in this paper are interesting, as is the text, but there is a lot of it. http://www.equalrightstrust.org/ertdocumentbank/ERR8_Brian_Foster_and_Peter_Norton.pdf
  24. I'm glad Julian Stair can afford their joining fee! (which pays for the photo shoots and ads)
  25. Lordship Lane estate is described as Low-Rise by estate agents and a 3-bed is 270,000- hardly a 'grim tenement'...and they are only on the market for a short time.
