  1. yeah crap in someone else's street then everything's fine. consideration for others (IF they live on your street, else feck 'em).
  2. LB train to Waterloo East (every 2-3 mins), takes 6 mins. Then walk through Waterloo stn to St Thomas's.
  3. Probably a scrap yard or freight depot
  4. ..just like the previous business model then. you could also add balshy service, heavy-handed doormen, no weapons allowed in premises and anti-drug policy (except for staff).
  5. It's going to be a nightclub/bar complex, called The Nick. Complete with stay-over accomodation in cute little rooms with iron doors and a slot through which breakfast in an aluminium tray is served. There are stables out back for those that ride into town and parking for customers (who know the PIN for the entry gate). Round the back of the big filing cabinets will be small leftover amounts of amphetamines, weed and partially destroyed evidence from various cases when it was once a police station.
  6. 1. would you mind builders in front of your home if they were working on your home for you ? 2. would you mind builders in front a house 2-3 doors along from your home if they were working on your home for you ?
  7. India, even if you include flight you'll have loads of dosh if you can handle budget-ish accomodation/travelling on basic trains. A few years ago I spent 3 months in india on ?1000 (excl. flight).
  8. Just like an airport set-up, but portable. I remember reading a couple of years ago that it was done somewhere in N. London (maybe Wembley ?) and loads of lads had knives.
  9. I think it was just on route up to LB not those coming home, maybe police had heard of something going down with people from ED.
  10. Just to be accurate - there's no veneer of skill in boxing, it's genuine, hard-earned skill. And doesn't need 'apostrophising'. ;)
  11. Penguin68 I've had stab wounds in my legs, abdomen and hands (knuckles/back of hands), some of which (legs) I wasn't aware of until day after (having left overnight cells) by which time you're finally home / safe and can't be arsed to traipse to the hospital and go through an inquisition to stitch wounds that stopped bleeding the day before and pose no danger. Not all cuts are gaping horror-movie type and not all stab wounds are deep. Also in a knife fight its surprisingly easy to stab or cut yourself which again is a disincentive for queueing at A&E. What evidence are you looking for ? Maybe this info will help. You often aren't aware of wounds until after the fact. If you're fully clothed you may get nicks that you spot later - typically when you get in the bath and they hurt from the hot water.
  12. losers the lot of you, FACT !
  13. ...bottle that juice and selling down NorthCross market, you'll be the pied piper of health and longevity. (not forgetting my sub for the idea)
  14. Ozzydawg, open a 'spa' in your basement, could be a right earner !! "Come bathe in the Og waters in cool and trendy ED"
  15. I've a 3-storey house and the foundations are shallower than what I dug for my conservatory !! House must stand there out of habit !
  16. if the trains are consistently overcrowded, the train co has work to do, whether holidays or not.
  17. thats great but the calendar of holidays obviously has little relevance to the actual train usage, hence the OVERcrowding.
  18. Rianoo, for the OP that's a DEEP hole (1.5m) ! You're offering to dig it for them, right ?! ;)
  19. *rushes round to flat while tenants are at work, to check labels on sofa*
  20. with you on the clothes locally maxxi, and that's not something that was EVER good around here, you'd have to suffer from dimentia, rather than nostalgia, to remember otherwise.
  21. What DC said. You live in / move to an area, longer you're there more chance it will change. Some comments above are almost like a localised xenophobia. If you want something to be 'how it was', then create / resurrect it yourself if you feel that strongly. I.E. A vintage 1986 greasy cafe, or whatever it is you wich hadn't vanished. Just like the people locally have created shops/stalls for what they think should be available. There's no right to zero / controlled change, in life or work, unless you live in Lacock village perhaps.
  22. Or just say there never was a sofa, that the agency have messed-upb
  23. If you want to see a decent contest, YouTube the Tim Bradley v Ruslan Provodnikov contest from last weekend. FoY candidate, loads of heart, two different styles, total war. Both men came out with fans' respect I would think.
  24. Those crimes back in the day would have been more prevalent if there were not such harsh punishments. There's no 'need' to carry a fixed blade these days. A penknife I can understand if you've a packed-lunch or you're camping / hiking or on your way to a picnic. But
  25. Fiddlers Grove festival, NC, for me. In May. Family that owns the land had cancelled this years for first time on decades, but have luckily changed their minds.
