GG - I'm sure it's genuine, it just feels right, so no need for the scam site links. But Thanks. So get yer frock tried-on and let me know who to pay. A photo for forum might be nice. Red - brilliant idea, perhaps ED should have some other animal - your choice. Just let me know. However no bronze. Look what happened to the Hepburn in Dulwich park !

I've just had an email telling me that I've been left $10,500,000 by someone I don't know and all I have to do is reply to the email with some personal details to prove who I am and where the money should be deposited before arranging collection. This sounds fantastic. I've never gambled or done the lottery so I'm really chuffed my good fortune came eventually (albeit squashing my efforts to get rich through my own sweat). Before I complete the personal details form and send it off for assured unfathomable riches, I thought it'd be nice to see who on EDF has a scheme / project that needs help / cashly support. One that springs to mind is the Goose Green fair needs a stage for performers, this would look great with 'Donated by KidKruger, a really generous kid' emblazoned across the front. A large flat top truck with 40,000 speaker stacks for S&R perhaps ? Any other deserving causes ? Please let me know because I'm loathe to hold onto all this cash when I'm sure there's a community brimming with ideas/projects just crying-out for that little financial push. Please let me know..

Boston and environs are great, used to live there. If it's baseball season go to Fenway stadium and sit in the bleachers, great atmosphere. Boston has place to keep yer son interested and there's nice day trips around. If you go longer than 2x weeks then head up to states North of there for scenery.

Actually *Bob*, you're right (as you knew you were), there goes my street credentials. NO2 it is. Thinking about it, if your teenager had helium under his bed it'd be on the ceiling of his room !
-
yeah that's what I thought at first Reg, they're single-storey on that block - probably a typo.
-
i know you can get it on the internet for order. or if you have a teenager, look under their bed !

MM you've been outed. Very clever all that posting on all those subjects, in anticipation of a bar opening on Piccadilly (one day) so you could plug it. And you've been OUTSIDE ED ??!

Comediens we loath and love, starting with Ricky Gervais

I think he's just one other branch of UK humour. For me, UK humour overall is great. Deadpan and sarcasm are some of its main ingredients surely - going back to Les Dawson and probably before that. -
Local hooooooligan tearing up the place!

Now people will start posting that you should not identify the person's car details publicly because that person may have mental health issues so its unfair. We have to account for the smallest possibility that that person didn't know they were doing wrong... -
Don't forget Frank's also got Chisora !!! Lets see about Cleverly, I'm just not convinced (cos of who he's faced so far) that he's top tier. I'm think Dawson, Beibut Shumenov, Tavoris Cloud (and therefore Hopkins) would handily defeat Cleverly. Would live to be proved wrong though.

Bernard Hopkins, who many have said should retire due to his age at 48, beat Tavoris Cloud to win the IBF Light-Heavyweight world title. The win was emphatic and legitimate. Oldest world champ ever, apparently. He beats a 31 year old world champion who's previously unbeaten with a high KO percentage, a strong punching athletic boxer. I think if you're performing at that level without being dominated then regardless of your age people should respect your ability. The guy's a testament to hard work and dedication, and should be an inspiration not only to novice boxers but to established veterans too. On another note, on Friday Magomed Abdusalamov vs Viktor Bisbal was a cracker. Mago demonstrated weak defence again, but he will insist on keeping his feet within distance at all times, always within reach of his final KO punch. He also proved he has a good chin though I wish he'd learn some more movement, because he's limiting his chances at the the highest levels of HW boxing. Continues to be an entertaining prospect though. A lit of leather exchanged in this contest. This was the first time Magomed had been into the 5th round, having KO'd every single one of his previous 16 opponents inside 4 rounds. There's a decent youtube clip of the contest on-line.

Denmark hill station coffee hut being thrown out

Yeah that's a real shame. He'd mentioned a few weeks ago he'd no clue as to his prospects at that time. -
The 08.04 is packed. The combination of people stood EACH SIDE of the doorways, causing everyone to file in / out in single file and the usual commuter reluctance to move down the fecking train mean you can risk being left on the platform. Ask people to move down the train repeatedly or board at the rear of train as someone has mentioned. I get the 07.37 or earlier trains for precisely this reason.

If it's summer why not have a picnic event in one of the parks ?

The Experiment: How friendly are we in East Dulwich??

If someone says hello to me in London on the street and I can see he's said hello to 30 other people on the street before he gets to me, I'll think: - He knows everyone in town, yet they all coincidentally pretend to be surprised when he greets them, how weird. - He's foreign and practicing his English but has limited vocabulary today. - He's a nutter. - He has a large impression of himself. - He's on amphetamines, or possibly drunk (if he's staggering). In all cases I will say 'Hi' back, it's just impolite not to, and you don't meet people like this everyday so no huge overhead. -
Denmark Hill station: Beyond a joke
KidKruger replied to LouiseC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's a mess there especially when crowded, but they are clearly working on it and soon it should improve. Maybe not as quick as people would like but it IS happening so be glad. People using the station could make life a lot easier for everyone including themselves by applying basic courtesy and less selfishness IMO. And the station worker who struts around the ticket hall, bossing the place comes over as bit of a d!ck. -
My grandad fought there after the Europe war and was part of Imphal he got his military medal then.

I was heading up to Pagan last time I was there, but that's when they locked me up so I never made it, they took me to the border and told me to FO. I'd read about it for years and wanted to see it for myself. Since then I've heard about bombs / artillery to flush-out seperatists who were hiding there, resulting in significant damage to the pagodas. Gutted to hear that.

TRIPLE ??!!! Jeez - how crunchy can a chip be ??
-
As per Alan Medic, I cook mine at home when I want perfect chips. Delia's got a straight forward recipe, you just need a thermometer up to 200-ish C.

Ha ha Worker !! No I didn't leave my camps there.... Splat - yeah might be handy having contact with a Westerner living there, with local tips. Woodrot - thanks for offer will let you know, I may have latest LP guide already.

Anyone been to Burma recently (last 2 years) ? Specifically Rangoon and Pagan. If so I'd be interested to hear how difficult travel between the two was and of any restrictions when you're in Pagan (or what's left of it, by now). PM me if you prefer. Pedants: yeah Burma = Myanmar. Thanks in advance. KK

Most men don't abuse their partners and behave reasonably. So how can most men be scumbags ? Or is it most men you've experienced ?
