  1. what ?! what was their sarcastic response ?
  2. I have a friend in East Grinstead had a pro come in overnight to shoot foxes from his upstairs back window, overlooking their massive garden. Killed 5 foxes, all headshots and instant (from 30-50metres), after which he took the dead animals away. If he'd missed and injured one of the foxes (causing slow/delayed death if it escaped the target zone) I'm not convinced he'd be liable to prosecution. If he would have been liable, I'm not sure he'd have taken the job on - surely it would be too risky a proposition ?
  3. Basically, before making loud noise, consider what time it is, how long you're gonna make noise for and how loud you're gonna make it. Then imagine all your neighbours are home and how what you're about to do might affect them. It may affect your intentions for that day !
  4. I'll take that as a compliment, again. Thanks !! alice Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > And you do kk. Course.
  5. No mate wrong. I?m just saying don?t come down on these products like you know better all the time. You don?t.
  6. Possibly - but why would people go to effort to carry their trash to outside gates when they currently don?t ?!
  7. Foxy baby, I think you're missing the point of the popcorn stall. It's sweet & salty popcorn and I think it'd be difficult to make as good at home. Hence the stall is there to provide for us ! And (from memory) there are TWO prices, Small (?3.80) and Large (?5) which is the one you've seized on for your example. Given that you wouldn't even touch this popcorn I don't know why you went for quoting the Large (?5) bag !! Sometimes for a weekend treat people like to try the popcorn, you can obviously buy popcorn in the corners shops for ?1, but it's pretty dire let's be honest. If one spend's ones' decisioning time only interested in the cheapest of things, one will only get the lowest quality of things. If that's how you want to exist, fair play, but let the rest of us enjoy life a bit ! So, you buy your kernels from Co-Op and make tasteless popcorn, meanwhile everyone else can get decent gear down the market !
  8. very shrewd bro !
  9. I can't see feck all without my contact lenses in, but I do need to know just how bad my eyesight is. Best thing would be to take a road trip to test how bad my eyes are, so can anyone recommend a decent route - maybe just 50-80 miles - so I can get a decent impression how far gone my eyes are ? I may take wife and kid in the car as well, just for the crack. I filled-up the car yesterday, but had no intention of making any trips at all - just felt sorry for the empty petrol tank.
  10. SpecSavers shares plummet as the alternative for eye tests become apparent to the public. This also may explain why roads are so busy today - must jump in the car myself and check if my bifocals work and what it's like driving with no contact lenses in. 12. I asked person emptying bins to have a look the other side of the huge oak tree next to the tennis courts, where a pile of wine bottles, soda bottles, food packets and other detritus has been for almost a week. Someone sat their with friends or family, ate and drank, then got up and made the decision to leave the trash they had brought with them right there on the grass. this has now been cleaned-up. Thing is the bins are being emptied and there's some attention to the areas visible form the pavement, but out-of-sight areas don't seem to be being patrolled for litter. Hence these festering piles of trash you come across when walking around edge of park. sue k Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > hi Rachp > well... in Dulwich Park not just by the bins > either... glass bottles and rubbish in the middle > of the grass, today i noticed a lot inc glass > bottles and pizza boxes nowhere near a bin.. and > more by the bins overflowing in Peckham Rye... so > if i can help at all with your letter, and support > to James McAsh, please let me know. i am happy to > go out and document with photography.. 13. Dulwich Park this morning !
  14. baa baa...
  15. I've got a chainsaw you can borrow.
  16. Exactly krisymac1 take it home, or to a bin on the high street. Fold-up the pizza box so it'll fit in the bin. It's so easy, yet isn't being done. And this is presumably local people !
  17. Yeah We?re sticking with our housebound regime - barring dog walks and evening trips to Khans twice a week. Everything in media we take with pinch of salt. If you can?t make head nor tail of the situation best own it yourself innit ! Jules-and-Boo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Agreed KK. 18. Govt has relaxed so people are relaxing. Fatal mistake IMO.
  19. Cyclemonkey, I don't think anyone is saying over 60's are "so special". From memory I think the 60 age threshold was originally because that's the earliest recognised retirement age (or was then) ie. for women. For blokes it's/was 65, but they could apply at 60 like their retiring women counterparts (I believe, Not sure if for blokes it was held at 65 threshold). But the fact probably is that when you subscribe to the benefit, then have it taken away, it has an impact. Recognising that impact doesn't translate to anyone saying one group of people is "special".
  20. Goose Green is a shameful mess, at night time if you've picked-up after your dog your are actually struggling to find a way to deposit it in one of the bins. Likewise other trash (for those who even consider carrying their own mess to a bin) is being left around the bin (OK) and piled on top, meanwhile the lazy folks are just leaving bottles and cans where they sat. 21. Councillors know full well there is very rarely accountability to the public for their misdemeanours, manipulations and mistruths. Just look at Central Govt. zero accountability, so it follows this will cascade down to the regions. No example is being set Centrally and locally there is little appetite to follow good examples even if they existed. 22. heartblock - people are pooing in the bushes at Dulwich Park, are you sure ?
  23. ? So offering any GE result as some kind of mandate for a majority of people is nonsense.? As Gil Scott-Heron said,?Mandate, my ass?.
  24. Sorry ianr, I must have missed something - the OP appears to be talking about taking a few metres off top of tall trees, no ?!
