  1. I apologise for any inconvenience Scribe, you still have access to the Lounge whilst we look into a few 'issues'.

  3. OK, I asked for people to tone it down but they didn't listen and carried on like I wasn't in the room. So sorry but I am forced to removed all the posts because of concerns raised and complaints about too many specific details given about individuals and organisations. This is the Family Room Area which has a "lower tolerance of abuse than the rest of the forum" and I will not tolerate discussions becoming mud-slinging matches between unknown individuals discussing named third parties, that is unfair. Both myself and the Family Room Moderator are sat here ready to expel anyone who continues to make the Family Room a rather uncomfortable place to be in.
  4. Duplicate topic http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,622283
  5. You can send me a PM and I will deactivate it when required.
  6. I did not say serious threats re legal action have been made, I said "complaints have been made".
  7. Complaints have been made about this thread and its tone so please keep it above board. Any allegations made by users of this forum are the responsibility of those users, if any complaints are made about specific users and specific messages we, the forum, will comply fully with the law. That can include disclosing information about users, so if you have posted something defamatory about someone I suggest you retract it as soon as possible.
  8. Hi, yes that is permissible, it is the multi-accounts for deceptive reasons that are out of order.
  9. Moving this to the Lounge as it is not East Dulwich specific any more Edited: To add "any more"
  10. Hi Everyone I have been away for a couple of weeks and am greatly indebted to those who have helped keep the forum running in my absence. I have not had a chance to read all messages but there will be a lost and found section and there will probably be an email going out to all users telling them about it, the email will also contain useful information about why it's important to post messages in the correct section eg someone wanting to find a lockup garage is not an East Dulwich issue or gossip. Moving messages to their correct section of the forum is one of the main tasks that we have to continually do and is a pain in the bum and very time consuming. And I'll be dealing with Category A offenders e.g. banned users re-appearing, bullying with a strong hand.
  11. Pleasure to be of assistance Ladymuck.
  12. Apart from QI there's nothing else to recommend tonight, so it's probably a good time to dig out that programme you recorded ages ago and have never got round to watching.
  13. Hi joseba We did try that out for a short period during the early days of the forum, and it just confused everyone. We found it best to have all the posts listed in the the same chronological order throughout the forum. Thank you for the suggestion though.
  14. No more bumping up of this promotional thread please.
  15. Well done, but please stay on topic.
  16. The similarity is uncanny SeanMacGabhann! We are keeping an eye on the server's performance, nothing has changed on it but it may just be the volume of traffic. The stats for yesterday, Jan 19th 2011 were: 7,612 Visits 4,600 Absolute Unique Visitors 69,432 Pageviews which is quite a high load on the server and may cause it to slow down. If there's a server administrator out there who can do some server monitoring to tell us of any issues then please let yourself be known.
  17. I'll be locking this thread as it's already discussed here: What to do about all the dog pooh in Dulwich?.

  19. Hi I am currently away on a Goat Staring course but when I return on Monday I will investigate further. I cannot remember why delight's account has been deactivated (by me) but it is probably because of suspicious activity. Taking goods and then selling them on without telling the original owner of the intent is frowned upon by me, not because it's illegal or anything but because most people think their items are going to be used by someone locally. It's meant to be a neighbourly thing not a profit making thing.
  20. It is an issue I cannot disclose for legal reasons.
  21. Who's dicky?
  22. Moving this to the Lounge, Louisa consider this another warning.
  23. Hi Sorry for the delay in answering. I'm afraid an iPhone app is out the question for the time being, the forum's software doesn't have the option for an app and the forum certainly doesn't make enough money to build one itself.
  24. OK, there have been complaints about this thread, namely its content, the repetition of the same content, the name calling, the circular "going nowhere" discussion, repetition of the same content etc. I see DJKillaQueen has respectfully said that she is not posting any more on this, please do not try to drag her back in it. Just think of the children. So please keep it down.
  25. Our support people have said: Network Issues We are receiving reports that some some ISPs' customers are experiencing network issues reaching our services. This is due to a hardware failure at the London Internet Exchange earlier this morning. Update 10.35am Our network provider has decided to re-route traffic, thus avoiding the LINX hardware problem. Our services should now be visible from all routes and ISPs. ------------- I guess this has to do with the trace route timing out so I'm afraid it's out of my control. If you are still having issues after 6pm please could you post a message on here and I will raise a ticket with our support people.
