  1. The burst water main just down from North Dulwich station by the cross roads is dangerous this morning- please take care. It has been overflowing since Friday and remains unfixed over the weekend. Net result this morning is a slick of black ice around the crossroads corner area (Red post Hill turning into East Dulwich grove) which has already seen a few adults fall this morning (Monday 7am). There will shortly be lots of school kids plus cars turning into East Dulwich Grove in this area. It needs fixed asap but also gritted asap. Everyone please take care.
  2. I have it on good account that rents on flats are actually starting to fall slightly in East Dulwich. More and more people seeing better value in other nearby and less family orientated areas.
  3. Well...it's all there buried in various threads on here somewhere. But no point going over old ground. The Muzza has spoken with his racket.

They are lovely and friendly in there...and it's had a great refit too now with a decent seating area to stay and have a coffee. Good thread Jah BTW. Your opinions are always discerning and from a balanced perspective.
  5. Only a few years ago there was much "come on Tim!" cynicism on here from some about Murray ever amounting to anything. To all of you guilty, I believe Muzza has just flicked you all a polite "vicky".

If you want a proper dive bar ( Sorry Mick) I'm slowly working my way through this list:https://www.google.co.uk/amp/amp.www.complex.com/pop-culture/2011/09/the-50-best-dive-bars-in-nyc
  7. They cut back on leaf clearing a few years ago now - James Barber mentioned it before? Austerity...

I now avoid ghetto streets like FB unless it is daylight hours and I need a quick cut through to the leisure centre.
  9. Same here on Dovercourt Road south.
  10. Jeremy. Agreed. Pizza not so bad but deep fried stuff needs a notch cut in the container to keep it remotely crispy. I agree burgers are not usually so bad which is why it's especially strange ML poorly travels.
  11. No 1. Meat Liquor. Great on premise but terrible vs when Deliveroo'd. Must be some science as to why.
  12. Yep. Could be a rout MM if England not playing so badly. Anything but a win for England would be a shock.
  13. Most of the 15,000 Tartan Army avoiding Trafalgar Square today (traditional meeting grounds) to respect the Rememberance activities. Instead you're all advised to avoid Covent Garden - where I'm headed now....
  14. I really like steveo's alternative perspective / list above. Quids your list very similar to what mine would be but you need to get the babysitter in and hit Mr Bao. le Chardon - similar bro - ex gf territory.
  15. Here's what matters most to the TA travelling down tomorrow: http://tartanarmyboard.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/9950-chippie/
  16. Most of them. But tend to frequent the newer ones for novelty value. Not a thread for reviews but a couple of things: - I like ToastED but have tired of it's quirky menu and pureed "small plates". Still it is very good. - The Lordship Pub - continues to be quietly popular long after opening and is now nicely steady, quieter on week nights but humming at weekends with a sit down kind of crowd but has been VERY consistent. The food is good and decently priced esp tuesday and Wed night deals. Sunday lunch is excellent there. Well worth a look if you've not been for a while.
  17. Anyway - prediction is a very unpatriotic 3-0 England. We're wearing pink and in poor form.

  20. England fans used to care. Then Germany and Argentina rivalries got bigger. Then you lost all hope....
  21. Hi, can anyone recommend a speedy departure route after Friday nights WC qualifier to get back to ED in our kilts safely? Thanks.
  22. Tip - head in there now...everything is 20-30% off and still in date. I will miss it's quirky, old fashioned range of anglo-american fare. It always felt part of the Village.
  23. I just really liked the idea of a 5 min walk for a quick pint (no kids) on Christmas Day which I understand was a tradition at the Dog. Three Christmases will now have passed before this happy dream becomes a reality. The Dulwich Estate have no care for public amenity and have demonstrated a lack of effective project management for this refurbishment. It should have taken 12-18 months max.
  24. Had great fun last night. Thanks for the PMs offering advice on where to buy etc. Cheers.
