  1. THAT'S 300 COFFEES AN HOUR OR ONE COFFEE EVERY TWELVE SECONDS. ALL DAY.
  2. Anyone wondering what you have to do to make ?45k per week selling coffee? The answer is: - 16336 coffees pw - 2333 coffees per day - in Dulwich Village only - even on Mondays
  3. Hah. Love all the bantz above. Louisa On good form. I never understood the original Sainbos rumour (was that yours too Louisa?) as the unit size, access and everything didn't work. Gails DV branch makes ?45k a week? That's funny! Look all we want is a good little general store that sells milk, bread and The Telegraph. A good supply of chamois for washing the Range Rover and a selection of golf jumpers also appreciated.
  4. Livin' the dream....
  5. All quiet from Detective MM. Any updates Mick?
  6. Sue - exactly right I think. You have to make it east for people. It was also expensive.
  7. I'm no detective. And with majority paying by card now (esp under 50s) there probably wasn't such a big cash take. But my bet is that because Xmas eve fell on a Sunday the usual usual cash collection didn't happen and created an opportunity. But that's a wild guess. Let's wait for Detective Mick Mack to shed some more light...
  8. What are you hinting at Mick? Did they take all the rotisserie chicken too?
  9. Cheese queue update at 4pm: Cheese Block - 12 people Mons - 7 Both trading very nicely
  10. Thanks all, above. And Rendelharris for the generous offer. Now sorted hopefully!
  11. I messed up the Ocado order which arrived today and as a result have a fresh 2kg (Medium) Gressingham Turkey worth ?35 to donate to someone who would appreciate it. Will keep until the big day. Any ideas?? For collection asap! Edit to say closer inspection has revealed it's a 2kg Turkey crown - so the best bit of a turkey but not a whole actual turkey and much easier to roast!
  12. Yeah I know this feeling well. The anger in the aftermath is huge. I spent weeks looking for the suckers overtime I was out in the car and at one point had a screwdriver in the glove compartment. Genuinely think I would have done something bad if I'd seen them again. Never did. Anger subsided. Reflection kicked in. Ribs healed. Moved on. Hope you feel better about it soon chap.
  13. No way can I afford that. I think I'll just buy a big block of Cathedral Extra Nature from Tesco and hide the wrapper. ?37 saved.
  14. Yep all that... but still....
  15. ^^^ mates with owner.
  16. Bob, hopefully your wife will let you out this Saturday to catch the Christmas popcorn crowd?

If you think they don't know > how > > to cook, you probably shouldn't eat out. Overly harsh. Fine to disagree with their claim that it's overrated but don't devalue their actual personal experience and tell them they shouldn't eat out. Even good places can't get it right all of the time. It happens. Especially with pork.
  18. The most useful thing you can buy for under ?10 is a card holder that attaches to the back of your smartphone: Google Top 25 Best Credit Card Holders for Smartphones 2016-2017: http://flip.it/A_LIQo
  19. Before you comment / scoff at this helpful post. It's quite possible this absolute obscurity may come up in your next pub quiz.
  20. Hi Bob. I would like to buy a smaller bag of your popcorn - ideally half the size - yet I'd like to pay you only 25% less (?6). Would that be ok?

  22. One of my favourite ever observational posts from Bob Buzzard. Worth wheeling out again as we approach Christmas in ED.
  23. Anyone on here have experience of running a wine shop? Just interested in how they mark stuff up from wholesale. A quick visit to a few round here suggests that some bottles are priced fairly but scarcer yet still cheap bottles can have massive mark ups. One local store has several bottles at 100%+ mark ups on what you can buy it at online. Is that how it's done? And if so is it fair? Discuss.
  24. Yes - emu is correct. They have gone almost as quickly as they arrived in < 36 hours. The main building appears to have been broken into and now contains several tons of industrial waste. A tidy way of disposing of their refuse with the bonus of leaving the Dulwich Estate to pick up the disposal costs for their hapless neglect. Metal and wires also appear to have been stripped. A quick hit with an exchange of materials. Illegal but I do admire their resourcefulness.
