  2. I don't suppose either of you drive a Porsche do you? ;-)
  3. Lounged and locked as there's another thread about this

  6. I'm gonna have to point out that a couple of people's opinion isn't the majority of the forum (I make it 0.18%). Anyway, I don't think that owners of a 2 year old Porsche are "flash gits" and "cocks", I'll admit I'm slightly envious of them but I'd rather my scooter round town anyday.
  7. There are definitely a few from far away, I know there's a couple of people in New York and Los Angeles who seem to have a look in everyday, I guess to some looking in on the forum it's like a real life London soap opera.
  8. It was suggested to me by an estate agent that there might be a tube line extension to East Dulwich with the station entrance on Goose Green, but it wouldn't be started for another 7 years or so. That was 6 years ago so maybe, just maybe...
  9. Blimey, on Tuesday we had 1,064 unique visitors to this website. That's more than 1,000 individuals looking at this website in one day, that's brilliant (and amazing)! It's a milestone and I thought I'd share it with everyone. Here's the growth in the last six months: Thank you to everyone for using it and making it what it is.

    Red Arrows

OK, but how many people in Iraq have died from a Red Arrows fly past?

    Red Arrows

hang on, if it's because they're military aren't javelins based on er, javelins, weapons of war used by the Romans? I say let's not be reminded of the barbaric and imperialist days of the Roman Empire either, I mean, what did they ever do for us? Other war related events include, the Marathon, rifle shooting, wrestling, fencing and maybe beach volleyball. Personally I like the Red Arrows but otherwise get the Red Bull aerobatic team to do it, they wouldn't make people think of war and destruction as they do loops the loops and make the Olympic rings in the sky. But then again the Red Arra's have never made me think of that. Until now.
  12. Cheers Michael, I've heard a teaspoon of almond essence is a good thing to add too BarryRoad, managed to go round the accident on the M4 on Sunday and get on at Hungerford, but it did take 5 hours to get there on Friday because of a couple of strategically placed accidents. I'll give you a shout next time I'm going down.
  13. AllforNun, you obviously feel strongly about this, have you asked your councillors about this and what do they say? Please could you tell me where you get your information from so that I can refer to it when I write to mine. And that's the first I've heard about Northcross Road being turned into a proper market street, I shall endeavour to find out more.
  14. Thanks > Did you pick the Sloes locally? No, picked them in a field near Bath and hoping to get a good few pints of the stuff for Christmas time
  15. Me and Mrs Me picked some sloes at the weekend and am wondering if anyone's got any special Sloe Gin recipes? I don't like gin in it's own but I like the sloe gin I've tried so now I've a bottle of Plymouth Gin, a bottle of Tanqueray and some sloes. Anything other than "sloes, gin and sugar" greatly appreciated. thanks
  16. Hi Jen Which end of Upland Road are you on and do you have a picture that you could show us? Good luck
  17. In ED you'll have the choice of Fusions, Dulwich Hamlets gym, a run in the park etc, etc and now a new gym. I see that as a good thing i.e the new gym's not taking anything away from anyone. And no, I'm not connected to the gym, never been there, never met the owner, doubt if I'll join as there's no squash court and am already a member of Fusion (but that pis*es me off but that's another story). In fact the new gym may take people away from Fusions meaning it's quieter. Result!
  18. What are you searching for? And are you Mac/PC/phone? And what browser are you using (e.g IE6, Safari, FireFox)?
  19. I am reliably informed that the pedestrian crossing outside Somerfield is going to happen. When it will happen I'm afraid I don't know.
  20. I'd be where I am now
  21. I used to work with a foreigner who found the village name Cheddar Gorge very funny
  22. They sound like the bits of paper that are put up on the window of the old newsagent next to the Goose Green Roundabout
  23. I think the website was http://www.gv15.co.uk/ but it's not working anymore. A google search of GV15 Dulwich brings up Hampton's site saying... Flat for sale - Grove Vale, London, SE22 - Asking price of ?250,000 1 bedroom, 1 reception room, 1 bathroom UNDER OFFER A fabulous one bedroom apartment within this super new development in East Dulwich. GV15 is the epitome of the urban ideal, combining excellent finish with prime location. god knows why they call it the "epitome of the urban ideal" unless the urban ideal is living in a small triangular box on a train track.

I'm trying to get a reset all posts button, when I do it'll replace the space where the donate button was at the bottom right of the page.
  25. which reminds me, if you see a board that says "Sold" or "Let" that's been up for more than 14 days you should remind the estate agent to take it down as it's breaking the law (Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 1984 I believe)
