  1. My friend is Jewish and loves a Bacon sarnie at work yet keeps a kosher house, not sure she is aware of Talmudic Law but I think she may well like it :-)
  2. Dorothy, had you have simply made a "useful" suggestion rather than resorting to unecessary and uncalled for name calling, we would not be having this conversation :-)
  3. I tend to use my phone to post... often you can't easily see the entire post until you have posted it(especially if you attach a previous post) - that is the point you notice the "predictive text" changes / typos! V annoying!

In which case you will be more than aware that a nappy liner is not going to solve the problem of festering two week old nappies! Does however increase waste whilst marginally reducing the volume of festering excrement.

Come on, lets face it, it > just takes a little bit of effort. Have you changed a breast fed baby's nappy? Liners make no difference, just increases waste!.
  6. Sounds a good idea to me, we also do not even half fill our green bin each week. My only reservation is nappies..... Not pleasant if they fester for up to two weeks :-(
  7. Seems rather odd :-( where in ED are you? Agree not to open door, maybe make it obvious your in though! Hope your OK X

  9. Oh no :-( I hope you get the photo's back, that's so horrible :-( Excellent memory jog to back up mine!! As I understand it you will need the phone rather than just sim, I believe photo's are stored on the device itself. Good luck X
  10. How many messages is the limit? Is there any way users could be notified when the limit is reached?
  11. Haven't tried it yet...... thought I would wait until the temperature sorted!! Does anyone know if there is a soft play centre there? Ive seen a thread on here say there would be one, then another said there isn't and then today the Southwark magazine arrived and claims there is!?!?!? Very confusing!
  12. Just had a leaflet through the door from the Police advising of an increase of burglaries in the area, gathered as much from this forum but still worrying.
  13. The dog was alone...... A designated dog area would make no difference! Simply penalises the decent dog owners and their dogs (of which there are far more). Glad you and your mum are both ok. I'm in the park most days and fortunately it's rare to see irresponsible dog owners there.
  14. Travel gro bags have a split at the back so you can use a buggy / car seat harness with them. The zip will be at the front to allow a gap between the two zips for doing up the harness. Not sure about makes other than Grobag.
  15. Again, no advice but my lo the same! She is 8 months now and generally has a short nap around 10ish and again around 1, usually 30 / 40 mins max!! She sleeps well at night so I've just really accepted it. By bedtime she is really tired, daren't keep her up later than 7 though or it's meltdown!!
  16. Mine was great! Dried clothes from being spun really fast, was all digital so eventold you how long it would take, although always did it faster than it said:-) no problems at all with heat or condensation.
  17. We had a John Lewis one, all the moisture goes into a tank which you empty. I can't see any issue with putting one in a cellar other than than the usual electricity one if the cellar is damp :-)
  18. My sister has one for me next time I see her, in the meantime we are stuck for this weekend. If anyone has one they don't mind loaning that would be great, if not we will make do with the bumbo :-) Thanks Clare
  19. Lion poo def works :-) good luck x
  20. The local businesses that ignore the "no junk mail" sticker on the door.... 1. Swadesh..... Not just once but continuously, grrrr ironically I had never tried the place, I won't now on principal!! Anyone else have any repeat offenders?
  21. Totally agree with you Belle and Candj I had never heard the term before but guessed that it meant siblings born of the same mother close together. It was only when one person took offence that I googled the term as I was perplexed how it was offensive. Even having found the derogatory meaning that had been used historically, I do still think this term (and thousands of others commonly used) are only offensive if used in an offensive manner. Problem with an online forum is it's the written word rather than spoken so it is how the reader interprets the written word rather than how the writer means it. yep, this is going off thread rather..... back on thread, 4 days...... No way!!!
  22. Surely it's a matter of the context and circumstance it's used.... Clearly wasn't meant offensively!
  23. Such a shame, he was great, a real asset :-(
  24. I would take the advice of the cab firm. Heathrow seems always to be an hour minimum!
  25. It's either Mon, Tue and Wed, or Mon, Tue, Wed and Thursday. It's Def Mon, Tue and Wed, its just Thursday's im not sure about. Gone from being just one day to most of the week :-)
