  4. it is active manuke honey, my mum bought it for me to try. you are right foxy it does have a very medicinal taste and I'm not surprised its used to heal cuts and soothe sore throats. I think I will save it for that very purpose and use my ordinary ol' norfolk honey to dollop on greek yoghurt.

  7. I've been listening to it on book at bedtime otta but think I need to read it for myself to properly digest it. Would be good to hear what you think of it?
  8. ugh...tried manuka honey for the first time today, it tasted unpleasant and medicinal. Maybe its an acquired taste?
  9. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Probably, I used to live near Vauxhall, so the > arches and Club UK were 'locals' :) > Was the club you were thinking about at Oxfors > St/TCR the Astoria?... no it was The End! Think it was called something else before that tho.

I think its the way some of your posts come across as if its just you and... din din din ...'The Fox' against the...din din din... 'Rest of the Forum' type thing, thats all. Retiring wall flower, no, I didn't have you down as that :)

We must have crossed paths I'm sure ;-) just remembered another in Grays Inn Road, Holborn end, basement. Few more in Brixton that I had forgotten about too.
  12. FGS I happen to agree with eg. quids on loads of things but don't go around posting how it's us against the rest of you ad nauseum. And that's how it comes across when you both do that. No one cares that you share the same views on certain things, it's the way you go about acting like the persecuted. Yes of course we are all friends looking for banter & interesting things to read here. Anyway, we've lost a great poster for good today and I'm sad about it. Long live the lounge & all that.

Oh no I didn't realise that, thought going anywhere but the supermarket would be better. Really shocked about the Coop too! I occasionally get proper buttermilk, cheeses and butter from Nortons Dairy but not nearly enough on a regular basis.
  14. I can't remember the names of all the clubs I went to. In a way, I'm glad. The fridge Ministry of sound Club uk Bagleys Turnmills The cross The one at the end of Oxford st/TCR Some under the arches at Vauxhall One at Victoria station by the district line Er... Heaven!

Why feign surprise/innocence when there's been plenty of times you've aligned yourself with foxy on this forum as if you're some kind of posting duet. Admittedly you didn't really do this in the past, you were funnier back then too. Less of a broken record with the same old shtick. Regular readers will know what I mean.
  16. I get milk delivered here in Norfolk. Glass bottles. Gold and silver top.
  17. Where will the monsters go?!
  18. No, no, no!!! No ticking off, was joking...knew I should have used a smiley face ;) I disagree tho with Mick Mac who was up in arms about confining certain subjects to a particular thread. For RIP ones I think the chapel of rest works pretty well incidentally.
  19. Salsa the stick isn't even real!!!
  20. Top deck drivers seat. Come on!! There is no other.
  21. You should really have posted this in the thread for charities that have closed, dontcha know?
  22. Haven't physicists recently proved that our existence is not really 'real'? I agree with Jeremy re Dawkins. Went to one of his lectures many moons ago & found him unbelievably arrogant. (Edit: Dawkins not Jeremy...whom I've also met and us definitely not arrogant) :)

Not just the food but the crockery too! I tried experimenting with that book leading to inevitably disastrous results. I cannot remember the first time I ate curry in a restaurant though, it was probably some flock wallpaper, cheesy place that bears no resemblance to the real thing. However, I am pleased to say that I can cook Indian food now and love all of it, whatever the region - Keralan, Goan, Andhra-style, Maharashtrian :)
  25. Was that supposed to be a private message for *Bob*?
