  1. Not confusing at all Sue, Bob is obviously the 'comedy' account of a well known forumite who seems to have at least 3 personalities Maybe when he / she is CN150, they are all being treated by her for multiple personality disorders at the Mausdley (oh yes they are , oh no they aren't) Regardless, keep on posting Bob as it's part of your therapy
  2. It is becoming an increasingly grey area (50 shades worth) For example, whilst someone whom is pre operation is allowed to identify as the opposite gender to the one they were born as, should they have access to services for the gender they associate with? Examples of this include a man identifying as female entering a woman's refuge or woman's toilet. Whilst there is a discussion to be had we shouldn't shy away from the discussion or hard questions for fear of offending people. If we are open, those who have issues may learn from the discussion, those in the middle may understand why there are objections and resistance and can then work to create mitigations and as the OP raised, rules/guidelines can be put in place to ensure fairness for all and ensure everyone is comfortable with change.

  4. Bob It's obvious Mrs Buzzard is obviously cooking them breakfast and trying hard to make sure they get their sausages in before the heavy humping for the day starts. I would be more worried if Mrs Buzzard was complaining that her eggs were fertilised whilst making breakfast. I suspect that the builders also have a mattress in the back of their van to facilitate an over night session when they have an early start to their errection work 😉
  5. But to follow up on penguins point They can't tell what sort of engine the vehicle is using If 100 hybrids or electric go over it on battery power for example, it still counts then as cars and therefore the calculated figures will be inaccurate. Therefore "guestimated" figures based solely on volume not engine type are at best misleading at wirst just completely wrong.
  6. Just seen this https://m.facebook.com/peckhamlido/
  7. That's a good question about the lido as funding was raised according to the website in the last post but no further details are available It would be a great return for the area but has it gone down the plughole ?
  8. There's an online petition against the second expension of the ULEZ https://chng.it/y65K5QZvY7 Some interesting comments about why people are signing it.
  9. I find the staff at King's and Bowley Close tend to introduce themselves first time you meet them but then assume you remember their names and roles afterwards. In my experience they are quite happy if you ask who they are and what their role is if you are unsure. The best introduction was from a radiographer who said "I'm Mary and today I'm taking your passport photos" (name changed)
  10. Sooty Although Matthew Corbett had to translate for the masses
  11. Percentages can be misleading as they hide the figures behind then For example if on a Monday one person walks past a point and on Tuesday two people do That's am increase of one person but as a percentage its 100% Without seeing the verified source data then a percentage on its own is misleading
  12. I love the fact that 2 years ago everyone was whineing about the introduction of changes to what was a free service Now people are saying how good value it is compared to other boroughs. Short memories?
  13. If it was / is fraud have the police been involved? If it isn't fraud then it's slander and again have the police become involved? It's a slippery slope accusing someone of fraud unless there is overwhelming evidence that it is.
  14. Having looked at the councillors tweets on this (as highlighted in the thread earlier) it strikes me once again that leading up to local election when councillors should be engaging with and listening to residents, that having your twitter account set to "only people councillor x follows and people mentioned in this tweet can respond" is a bit weird. Seems to me that it reinforces their echo chamber and demonstrates that they don't want to listen to or engage with voters. But that's just my take on it.
  15. This is related to the fire and love the advice https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/firefighters-recommend-ordering-takeaway-after-cooking-fire-in-east-dulwich/
  16. Metallic Can you give some more background or reference information to your last post as it seems to assume people know what it relates to ?
  17. I think you need to widen that slightly to include the proposal for a Borough wide CPZ
  18. In other news Ukraine are currently no 2 in the paralympics medal table behind China Now that's gotta hurt Putins pride.
  19. Interesting idea for a website and if you can produce an unbiased summary of each party and candidates views on key campaign points it would be a useful comparison tool. In my opinion that could include : - LTNs and alternatives - Borough wide CPZ and parking - Infill development (on estate green areas) - Plans to improve transport - High Street support measures - Social care plans - Schools - Safety (including street light maintenance) This election shouldn't be just about one thing as other equally important items need to be addressed but I did agree that if they aren't listening then they need to be made to listen.
  20. Apparently they have given themselves a name Tyre Extinguishers ---- not quite the name I would call them.. BBC News - Tyre Extinguishers: Scores of SUVs have tyres deflated by activists https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-60660711
  21. CPR Dave Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > Why aren't people going round deflating dogs too? I've now got a vision of a Great Dane bring deflated to the size of a Chihuahua. I wonder how supportive people would be of this tyre deflation protest if the person doing it was disturbed half way through and the car then driven on a motorway with a half inflated tyre which then caused an accident? Whilst some are arguing its not a criminal act, it could well turn into something more serious in the above scenario. Every Action ....
  22. Waseley Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Direct action has a long history, the Ludittes > didn't simply wee on the looms. Sorry couldn't > think of an analogy to letting tyres down. Forgive me but didn't the ludittes eventually lose their fight ? Let's hope it's the same with the anti car lobby
  23. And they say there isn't a war on motorists ... This behaviour indicates that for some there is....
  24. Dogkennelhillbilly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > While I don't agree with interfering with blah > blah blah, it is totally absurd that people are > driving around South London in Range Rovers and > Jeeps. You make it sound as if the whole of South East London drives around in Range Rovers and Jeeps I can count the toes on one foot the number of Range Rovers and Jeeps I've seen around here in the last year.. Then again I suspect in your head everyone drives a yellow Range Rover aka layer cake style
  25. Is it sad or cynical of his motivations After all in a few years we're all supposed to be driving electric or hydrogen vehicles so it's a short term expensive tool that when petrol/ diesel is no longer used will need to look at another way to raise revenue
