  1. Precisely.
  2. I remember Flip very well. Had good stuff in there, mostly I bought 501s and army type shirts and maybe a Hawaiian number too. Dicky Dirts was not so good but you could pick up a half decent pair of jeans for around a fiver I seem to remember.

You're obstructing an opponent from movement. If it isn't considered a foul it bloody well should be. It's long overdue that this sort of impediment and was stamped out. As Gordon Strachan said last night if the referees were to give a penalty each time this happened it would soon put a stop to it.
  4. 3-nil now. No chance.
  5. Tuesday 12th February 2013 Celtic 2 Juventus 1 Valencia 3 Paris SG 2 Wednesday 13th February 2013 Real Madrid 2 Man Utd 1 Shakhtar Donetsk 3 Borussia Dortmund 1
  6. Keith Richards, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed. All three of them were on a next to die list for about ten years and yet somehow are still here. Gawd bless 'em.
  7. He scores when he wants. Gareth Bale He scores when he wants.
  8. Jazz. Delicious hot. Disgusting cold.
  9. He's scored three or four own goals against Spurs Otta. Big reason why I like him so much. ;-)
  10. Turning up for the match maybe but what about training? Or will he pull out claiming that often quoted African injury after a tournament - malaria. Really don't have a good feeling about Saturday's match, that's my typical Spurs fan's pessimism shining through. I'm going to the game, so hope I'm wrong, depends if we've got any strikers on the pitch. Saturday 9th February 2013 Tottenham 1 Newcastle 3 Chelsea 2 Wigan 0 Norwich 1 Fulham 1 Stoke 3 Reading 2 Sunderland 1 Arsenal 3 Swansea 2 QPR 1 Southampton 2 Man City 3 Sunday 10th February 2013 Aston Villa 2 West Ham 2 Man Utd 2 Everton 1 Monday 11th February 2013 Liverpool 3 West Brom 1
  11. Good performance from England tonight. Lampard's take superb.
  12. yeah but have you seen the Brazil team? Scarey amount of talent on display.
  13. Adeybayor still in bloody Africa. What a surprise. Looks like Spurs will be without a recognised striker on Sunday. Should have bloody bought one in the January Sales.
  14. Just watching Pointless and one of the contestants (a very gay looking black man with a moustache) said and I quote "I support Arsenal but I also follow Fulham." Reckon he's a season ticket holder at The Effeminates? One of the empty seaters perhaps?
  15. Gazza. Not saying he's England's greatest footballer but before he did that ridiculous tackle on Gary Charles in the FA Cup final in '91 and buggered up his knee he was well on the way to becoming one of the best players in the world and at the World Cup at Italia '90 was probably the best player of the tournament. Hope he gets through his latest setback.

I'd go along with that. A gentleman, a fine footballer, 106 caps and the only England captain to lift the World Cup. Otherwise I'd go for Jimmy Greaves. My boyhood hero. The greatest goalscorer I've ever seen. Two great feet, good in the air, quick with bags of skill, could do taps ins as well as beat five players, round the keeper and score. After him I'd go for Bobby Charlton, great passer of the ball, a drop of the shoulder, body swerve and past his man and a thunderbolt in either foot. Far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea. Beans on toast? Possibly, don't quote me on that. Marvellous.
  17. How much was Nigel Slater paid to endorse that shit?
  18. About three times myself over 30 years and each time I hated myself for it. Fecking disgusting vile rubbery burgers that leave a foul taste in the mouth. I have sworn to myself that I will never visit or eat another one ever.

  20. Highly rated by who? Somalis? It's crap. To get any sort of high you have to chew it all day. Better off getting some speed. Errr...that's about the khat not the phone signal.
  21. Has anyone else noticed Joe Cole's lack of mobility? I think all those injuries have caught up with him. I'd love to see him get back to his best because he's a player I've always enjoyed watching but doesn't look half the player he was. He was non-existent in the "highlights" on MOTD last night. Anyway, still no sign of Levy signing a striker before the deadline. Adebayor away on Africa Cup of Nations duty and looking like he doesn't care in a Spurs shirt now he's signed his contract and our only other recognised striker Defoe carrying a pelvic injury you'd think (hope) he'd pull his bloody finger out. We want the Brazilian Leandro Damiao but will probably end up with nothing... or bloody Peter Crouch again. Bah!

  24. FFS Levy buy us a striker before the transfer deadline is over. We're down to the bare bones.
