Luckily for me Keef I remember very clearly England winning the World Cup in '66. My younger brother was born the day before and although I was only eight at the time I can still remember very clearly how gutted I was that my boyhood hero Jimmy Greaves wasn't playing and looking out for him sitting in his suit behind the England bench. And I remember the euphoria at winning mixed with the sadness of Greavsie's obvious disappointment but fecking hell what a day and even now when I see pictures of the late great Bobby Moore being carried on the shoulders of his England teammates with the trophy raised in his hands it brings a little tear to my eyes. How I'd long to see England win it again. England's glory. You never forget things like that.
