I'm not trying to big up the place James. It's just a genuinely quieter and pleasant stretch of road than being just off Lordship Lane. OK, you can bus it to the station or walk. It's not that far and the little bit of exercise never did anyone any harm. I know it's the only exercise I get.

I thought Gareth Bale's red card should have been a yellow and OK we improved a little bit after that up to half-time with Bent scoring what was definitely an offside goal but in the second half we didn't even have a shot on goal. The January sales can't come quick enough.

It's bloody painful being a Spurs fan at the moment and coming into work on a Monday morning after another terrible performance and listening to the ribbing from certain colleagues (Bastards!). I watched the continuing horror that is our season in the CPT and it was so awful it was embarrassing. Luck or lack of it had nothing to do with it. We were rubbish from start to finish. We have Udinese up next in the UEFA Cup on Thursday followed by Bolton, Arsenal and Liverpool in the Premiership. If we can't beat teams like Stoke City then I certainly can't see us winning any of those matches especially the last two. If things don't change very very quickly I can see the prospect of relegation becoming a stark reality. Meanwhile, Martin Jol's Hamburg side continue to sit at the top of the Bundesliga. If he is enjoying a certain feeling of schadenfreude at the moment I wouldn't be at all surprised and I wouldn't blame him either.

That'll be John the barman who works in the Black Cherry. There is quite a likeness going on there.

What Ruffers said. I'm up that end of Melford Road too on the cusp of Wood Vale. I don't drive and don't have a problem with public transport, which I use all the time. Also, it's nice and quiet up that end.

There was nothing loopy about lusting after Sally James. I remember me and my flatmates of the time getting up early on Saturday mornings just to watch her all twanged up and in a school uniform. Phwoar.

Only been to Jaflong the once and that was when it first opened and they must have been having teething problems or a particularly lousy chef because I thought it was bloody awful. Obviously it's improved since then and good luck to them. It's not like there isn't enough competition on the Lane. As I've said before though. You can't beat Omrith and Tandoori Nights.

I've been Jah Lush for a lot longer than that Brendan. And, it was back in the 90s. And, what's more I'd do it all again tomorrow. So there!

If you really must drink coffee in a bar at least do the civilised thing and have a brandy with it. Preferably a large one. I do on occasion, and with a couple of cigarettes thrown in too it makes for an excellent heart starter around midday.

I'd had about 200 of the little feckers. It was a long walk home from Gipsy Hill nick. I don't think I'd go as far as the Lapps though. That sounds revolting.

I would think that would make you very sick. Stick to the Liberty Caps and you'll be fine.
