  1. Which Singer of a Group at The Oval Rooms(R.I.P) Kennington was passed a chair onstage in around 1971 when I attended in the tightest conditions I've known and shouted out "Don't need it! I'm not a f****ng cripple!"....you won't need to "phone a friend" to name this "Young Dude"...

  8. Well I'm 54 and single(no kids) and have thought for a while thats its time I,maybe, settled down, started a Family and decided on which career path to take, but I don't want to rush any of these things as you are only middle-aged once.
  9. I know Southwark Council has a Nuclear-Free Zone, which covers part of the Borough. I'm not certain if the Library is within that area.Best to contact SC on 7-595-1000 and try to extend the Nuclear-Free Zone to include The Library to be on the safe side.
  10. I'm pleased she is O.K. Thank Heavens. Will comment more on this in a couple of days.
  11. >:D< Especially as when I saw a Lady drop her purse at the corner of Peckham Road/Bushey Hill Road and ran after and gave it to her she snatched it back without so much as "kiss-my-ass"(6):))

I must admit I wasn't entirely certain what Sir Bob meant and I,wrongly, assumed that he ....blah,blah.. A Thousand Apologies to Sir Bob and a plague on the House who said it...I can't be assed to discover who. Mockney:Of course there was some rubbish "Revolution 9" "Within/Without You" etc as well... Interesting that you mention the Genesis Documentary because that made me feel quite sorry for myself in a way,I admit. I saw the first ever "Top-Of-The-Bill" performance by Genesis in around '71/'72 at Croydon Greyhound(3,000 capacity) "Pub" and now I'm witnessing the end 35 years or so later.Full Circle. Makes me aware of the fragility of my existence and yet(though I'm 54) I honestly feel like I'm 30 as I currently feel so energised and stimulated. Life goes on,eh.
  13. James Hendrix. Not an "experience" I like to repeat too often but Purple Haze/Hey Joe/All Along The Watchtower/Voodoo Chile and,um..

  15. *Bob* Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is there really any point in declaring, eg, The > Beatles are overrated? I mean - really? LOL and thrice LOL...if you are saying they are then you've made my day because whenever this Subject has appeared on other Forums, inevitably, out of 500 responses ONE person will proffer "Les Beatles" and I thought good on this FINE fora no-one has done that here! STEP FORWARD SIR "BOB":)) btw:Which one of their 350 ridiculously varied and (often) pioneering Songs did you not like or did you prefer what had gone b4 like Tommy Steele/Craig Douglas and Eden Kane? I mean who could like "Something" or "She's Leaving Home" or "I Will" or "In My Life" or "If I Fell" or "Elenore Rigby" or "Here Comes The Sun" or "Got To Get You Into My Life" and the're still being played 40 years later(as Richard Lestor,The Director of Hard Days Night) predicted at the time. In 40 years time we will still listen to "For No-One and "Here,There and Everywhere" and "Good Day Sunshine" and "Hey Jude" and.....you get the drift:))
  16. giggirl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Oops Upside Your Head - "some rubbish band" It must have been "somebody" who recorded it so: Somebody(from The Road To Eden) by The Eagles. btw: What a fabulous Rock Song if U R in a good mood and play it a few times!
  17. Sorry, but I just love a Man with a good sense of humour...:))
  18. I forgot! there's now no reason for my M8 and Wifey2 not to go to Communal do but in the first couple of days he did contact her 2/3 times so,obviously,he has to respect her decision for "time and space" which is a pain as he wants to let her know that Wifey1 is not going to the Communal do!
  19. indiepanda Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > As in she isn't going to see/talk to him for at > least a week do you mean? Yes indiepanda. Which is a real pain imo as I've passed on the collective wisdom of this fine fora and(I think!) he accepts that he(or me) had not considered the salient point about the level of discomfiture that she would feel as Wifey1 knows that it was solely her decision for her not to come(remember Wifey1 had gone out of her way to gain entry for my M8 to go to her 2nd marriage! so feels particularly hurt) and so as Wifey2 realises she is "seen" as the "Bad Guy" and no Woman(in my experience) is going to be wanted to be seen in that light or be happy with it or tolerate it so the obvious answer is for her not to go to the Communal Couples Meal. There's been a further development in that Wifey1/New Husband can't now go to the Communal Meal/Drinks as he has another engagement and they are both oblivious, totally unaware of the fact that Wifey2 won't be going. Given that circumstance the way seems clear for: 1/ Wifey2 has had her "space" and makes contact. 2/ My M8 tells her that he can now understand her view(though he is irritated that she wouldn't admitin the first placeas that is the REAL reason why she does not want to attend the Communal Meal etc) and he apologies accordingly. 3/ She accepts it and they move on and "who knows" after the marriage she may feel happier and more relaxed about future gatherings if there is some time distance b4 the next one. imo The longer she now leaves it to regain contact the worse it will be.

Do Dear Old Reginald Bosanquet,Andrew Gardner,Alaistair Burnett and Sandy Gall still read the news between them on ITV? I DO like that young Selina Scott though, she has great potential.
  21. Oh! I see that HonaloochieB and giggirl have both already given you this answer.
  22. Hello Cypriot Turk! I'm sorry some of the welcomes have been a little funny but you must make allowances as we have all sorts in da village that is The East Dulwich Forum,as in life generally. Anyway to give a serious answer to your question and apologising on behalf of those who gave trivial answers I feel this is all you need to know:- ab2 x bx3 + cx3 + dx+ad2=34 I have split East Dulwich into 4 Regions for this exercise("a"/"b"/"c"/"d") and "x"=Number of Hospitals in the locality. As you may know I have used a Generalized Reciprocal Equation as opposed to a Binomial Algebraic Equation Of Degree"n" which I first thought would be needed so the answer is 34. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! Welcome Again.:)-D
  23. I think I am a little infatuated even though he must(shirley) be a Geezer with that Wit....(apologies to Dorothy Parker but you were b4 my time Darlink:)
  24. Wifey-2-be has requested a week or so "space".
