This is begining to sound like an East Dulwich equivalent of a witch-hunt.

It looks to me that the heat-loss through Foxtons' new windows is likely to cancel out the work of East Dulwich SNUB at one stroke. Is there a civil engineer here who can do the calculation?

I would like to know what Ko was writing about too. There's a wealth of local knowledge on the East Dulwich Forum and it should be possible to find out whether the things Ko has heard about are true.

I like the St Francis Road area too. It's lost its stigma now too. It must be over 25 years since I heard anyone refer to it by its former name: Constance Road. No fear and dread anymore.

There should be no worry about the spiral staircase. It is extremely unlikely that an eating establishment would have one without full compliance with the regulations.

Not an anonymous building, but a building with secret responsibilities... I understand that High Wood was part of a chain of buildings that would be used if London came under nuclear threat/attack. The military were to use it as a base for their operations to put a cordon around central London to stop the civil population fleeing. I believe there is further information in this book: "London Under Attack : the report of the Greater London Area War Risk Study" I though it a little optimistic to expect that the military wouldn't try to leave London too.

I think I'm having my leg pulled. A friend has told me that 10,000 polythene bags have a smaller carbon footprint than one cloth bag. Can someone point me in the direction of accurate information? Thank you.
