  4. Ah got it Kanchelskis!
  5. Mo Johnston?
  6. Stuart McCall?
  7. Well the roads leading from Camberwell Green towards E&C and the Oval are always chock-a-block with buses so you'd hope that would be significantly eased with a Camberwell Green tube station.
  8. I've just rolled out of bed and can report it was pretty good. Bit of a trek to get there as it's out in the East Dulwich wilderness, but nice venue and good to meet everyone.
  9. So I guess you're from the school of thought that says, other players are justified in trying to break Ronaldo's legs due to the way he provokes opponents?!
  10. >> Sandperson on Ronaldo >> I sometimes think he's justified in his reactions Unbelievable.
  11. And it'll be goodnight from him when he walks out on you at end of season.. without even so much as a handshake
  12. Why doesn't anyone have a pop at Ryan Giggs. After all Giggs has a suitcase full of medals and has been there almost as long as Fergie. Anyway any idea why Giggs never gets any stick!? Perhaps it is because he is the polar opposite of Ronaldo! I've never heard anyone say a nice word about Ronaldo or Ferguson. Never.
  13. LOL, you can imagine Ronaldo's jaw dropping and the tears streaming down his cheeks on that remark

Atila Reincarnate Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Arrogant ronaldo > > Discuss I saw Wenger's quote on the BBC about Ronaldo's arrogance, "Sometimes his arrogance is provocative" ... which you might read between the lines as Wenger wishing he still had players like Tony Adams and Martin Keown.. It's a wonder that Ronaldo has never been seriously injured, although his style dictates that he dives over a tackle rather than making a 50-50 challenge so perhaps that is the reason. For me, a player who has class, is complimentary about fellow players. You always hear likes of Torres, Rooney, Gerrard, Messi talking about other great players... but with Ronaldo all you get is, 'I am the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best in world' ... and this week telling a Newcastle player, 'You're a rubbish footballer'.
  15. Hmmm Villa Park 1992 - I was actually in the Holte End as well that night, singing the same Pompey tune but with slightly different words ;-)
  16. Pig's trotter in Frankfurt after 12 glasses of apfelwein
  17. After Liverpool drew at Stoke in early January, and Liverpool 4 points clear Rafa rallied his players for the run in to the title with this comment to the media: - ?It could be that it takes fewer points to win the title because you can lose games you expect to win. This could be the situation at the end of the season.?
  18. If I recollect correctly, Liverpool wanted to re-sign Owen for the same amount they'd sold him to Real Madrid. All that was blown out of the water when Newcastle came in with their crazy ?17m offer. With transfer deadline loomimg, Liverpool advised Owen to reject the Newcastle offer as Real Madrid would crumble and agree to the Liverpool deal once Owen made it clear it was only Liverpool he would join. Whether Real Madrid would have budged in another matter but what is clear is that Owen would have been better sitting it out in Spain rather than exposing his sensitive hamstrings to the crippling North Sea wind.
  19. Wonder what Michael Owen thinks of it all - after choosing Newcastle over Liverpool when he left Real Madrid. Injured for 80% of his 4 years on Tyneside and now watching from the stands a Club that is slowly sinking into the abyss.
  20. I vaguely remember reading that but I think the key point was he had hidden it from view. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/derbyshire/7715908.stm "the High Court has recently ruled that the four-year period for planning exemption only starts when any shielding construction has been removed."
  21. Read this - http://www.planning-applications.co.uk/enforcement1b.htm "Any building, engineering or other works which have taken place without the benefit of planning permission, and that have remained unchallenged by enforcement action for 4 years or more, cannot be enforced against. So the erection of a building which goes undetected for 4 years will be allowed to remain."

I only saw the 2nd half, and tbh I was more disgusted in the quality of the Guinness than the play acting of Ronaldo.
  23. Imagine being in the company of Ferguson, Rio, Ronaldo, Gary Neville and Berbatov on a regular basis...
